| CVE-2022-50837 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-04-15 | N/A |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: dsa: tag_8021q: avoid leaking ctx on dsa_tag_8021q_register() error path If dsa_tag_8021q_setup() fails, for example due to the inability of the device to install a VLAN, the tag_8021q context of the switch will leak. Make sure it is freed on the error path. | ||||

| CVE-2022-50829 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-04-15 | 7.0 High |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: wifi: ath9k: hif_usb: Fix use-after-free in ath9k_hif_usb_reg_in_cb() It is possible that skb is freed in ath9k_htc_rx_msg(), then usb_submit_urb() fails and we try to free skb again. It causes use-after-free bug. Moreover, if alloc_skb() fails, urb->context becomes NULL but rx_buf is not freed and there can be a memory leak. The patch removes unnecessary nskb and makes skb processing more clear: it is supposed that ath9k_htc_rx_msg() either frees old skb or passes its managing to another callback function. Found by Linux Verification Center (linuxtesting.org) with Syzkaller. | ||||

| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: security: Restrict CONFIG_ZERO_CALL_USED_REGS to gcc or clang > 15.0.6 A bad bug in clang's implementation of -fzero-call-used-regs can result in NULL pointer dereferences (see the links above the check for more information). Restrict CONFIG_CC_HAS_ZERO_CALL_USED_REGS to either a supported GCC version or a clang newer than 15.0.6, which will catch both a theoretical 15.0.7 and the upcoming 16.0.0, which will both have the bug fixed. | ||||

| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: wifi: mac80211: fortify the spinlock against deadlock by interrupt In the function ieee80211_tx_dequeue() there is a particular locking sequence: begin: spin_lock(&local->queue_stop_reason_lock); q_stopped = local->queue_stop_reasons[q]; spin_unlock(&local->queue_stop_reason_lock); However small the chance (increased by ftracetest), an asynchronous interrupt can occur in between of spin_lock() and spin_unlock(), and the interrupt routine will attempt to lock the same &local->queue_stop_reason_lock again. This will cause a costly reset of the CPU and the wifi device or an altogether hang in the single CPU and single core scenario. The only remaining spin_lock(&local->queue_stop_reason_lock) that did not disable interrupts was patched, which should prevent any deadlocks on the same CPU/core and the same wifi device. | In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ALSA: usb-mixer: us16x08: validate meter packet indices get_meter_levels_from_urb() parses the 64-byte meter packets sent by the device and fills the per-channel arrays meter_level[], comp_level[] and master_level[] in struct snd_us16x08_meter_store. Currently the function derives the channel index directly from the meter packet (MUB2(meter_urb, s) - 1) and uses it to index those arrays without validating the range. If the packet contains a negative or out-of-range channel number, the driver may write past the end of these arrays. Introduce a local channel variable and validate it before updating the arrays. We reject negative indices, limit meter_level[] and comp_level[] to SND_US16X08_MAX_CHANNELS, and guard master_level[] updates with ARRAY_SIZE(master_level). | ||||
| CVE-2025-68780 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-04-15 | 5.5 Medium |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: sched/deadline: only set free_cpus for online runqueues Commit 16b269436b72 ("sched/deadline: Modify cpudl::free_cpus to reflect rd->online") introduced the cpudl_set/clear_freecpu functions to allow the cpu_dl::free_cpus mask to be manipulated by the deadline scheduler class rq_on/offline callbacks so the mask would also reflect this state. Commit 9659e1eeee28 ("sched/deadline: Remove cpu_active_mask from cpudl_find()") removed the check of the cpu_active_mask to save some processing on the premise that the cpudl::free_cpus mask already reflected the runqueue online state. Unfortunately, there are cases where it is possible for the cpudl_clear function to set the free_cpus bit for a CPU when the deadline runqueue is offline. When this occurs while a CPU is connected to the default root domain the flag may retain the bad state after the CPU has been unplugged. Later, a different CPU that is transitioning through the default root domain may push a deadline task to the powered down CPU when cpudl_find sees its free_cpus bit is set. If this happens the task will not have the opportunity to run. One example is outlined here: https://lore.kernel.org/lkml/20250110233010.2339521-1-opendmb@gmail.com Another occurs when the last deadline task is migrated from a CPU that has an offlined runqueue. The dequeue_task member of the deadline scheduler class will eventually call cpudl_clear and set the free_cpus bit for the CPU. This commit modifies the cpudl_clear function to be aware of the online state of the deadline runqueue so that the free_cpus mask can be updated appropriately. It is no longer necessary to manage the mask outside of the cpudl_set/clear functions so the cpudl_set/clear_freecpu functions are removed. In addition, since the free_cpus mask is now only updated under the cpudl lock the code was changed to use the non-atomic __cpumask functions. | ||||
