| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: crypto: hisilicon/zip - fix mismatch in get/set sgl_sge_nr KASAN reported this Bug: [17619.659757] BUG: KASAN: global-out-of-bounds in param_get_int+0x34/0x60 [17619.673193] Read of size 4 at addr fffff01332d7ed00 by task read_all/1507958 ... [17619.698934] The buggy address belongs to the variable: [17619.708371] sgl_sge_nr+0x0/0xffffffffffffa300 [hisi_zip] There is a mismatch in hisi_zip when get/set the variable sgl_sge_nr. The type of sgl_sge_nr is u16, and get/set sgl_sge_nr by param_get/set_int. Replacing param_get/set_int to param_get/set_ushort can fix this bug. | ||||

| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ext2: Add sanity checks for group and filesystem size Add sanity check that filesystem size does not exceed the underlying device size and that group size is big enough so that metadata can fit into it. This avoid trying to mount some crafted filesystems with extremely large group counts. | ||||

| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ipv6: ensure sane device mtu in tunnels Another syzbot report [1] with no reproducer hints at a bug in ip6_gre tunnel (dev:ip6gretap0) Since ipv6 mcast code makes sure to read dev->mtu once and applies a sanity check on it (see commit b9b312a7a451 "ipv6: mcast: better catch silly mtu values"), a remaining possibility is that a layer is able to set dev->mtu to an underflowed value (high order bit set). This could happen indeed in ip6gre_tnl_link_config_route(), ip6_tnl_link_config() and ipip6_tunnel_bind_dev() Make sure to sanitize mtu value in a local variable before it is written once on dev->mtu, as lockless readers could catch wrong temporary value. This is caused by missing accounting for running_req for when an internal abort command completes. In commit 2cbbf489778e ("scsi: pm8001: Use libsas internal abort support") we started to send internal abort commands as a proper sas_task. In this when we deliver a sas_task to HW the per-device running_req is incremented in pm8001_queue_command(). However it is never decremented for internal abort commnds, so decrement in pm8001_mpi_task_abort_resp(). | ||||

| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ipu3-imgu: Fix NULL pointer dereference in imgu_subdev_set_selection() Calling v4l2_subdev_get_try_crop() and v4l2_subdev_get_try_compose() with a subdev state of NULL leads to a NULL pointer dereference. This can currently happen in imgu_subdev_set_selection() when the state passed in is NULL, as this method first gets pointers to both the "try" and "active" states and only then decides which to use. The same issue has been addressed for imgu_subdev_get_selection() with commit 30d03a0de650 ("ipu3-imgu: Fix NULL pointer dereference in active selection access"). However the issue still persists in imgu_subdev_set_selection(). Therefore, apply a similar fix as done in the aforementioned commit to imgu_subdev_set_selection(). To keep things a bit cleaner, introduce helper functions for "crop" and "compose" access and use them in both imgu_subdev_set_selection() and imgu_subdev_get_selection(). | ||||

| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: scsi: lpfc: Fix memory leak in lpfc_create_port() Commit 5e633302ace1 ("scsi: lpfc: vmid: Add support for VMID in mailbox command") introduced allocations for the VMID resources in lpfc_create_port() after the call to scsi_host_alloc(). Upon failure on the VMID allocations, the new code would branch to the 'out' label, which returns NULL without unwinding anything, thus skipping the call to scsi_host_put(). Fix the problem by creating a separate label 'out_free_vmid' to unwind the VMID resources and make the 'out_put_shost' label call only scsi_host_put(), as was done before the introduction of allocations for VMID. | ||||

| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: can: hi311x: fix null pointer dereference when resuming from sleep before interface was enabled This issue is similar to the vulnerability in the `mcp251x` driver, which was fixed in commit 03c427147b2d ("can: mcp251x: fix resume from sleep before interface was brought up"). In the `hi311x` driver, when the device resumes from sleep, the driver schedules `priv->restart_work`. However, if the network interface was not previously enabled, the `priv->wq` (workqueue) is not allocated and initialized, leading to a null pointer dereference. To fix this, we move the allocation and initialization of the workqueue from the `hi3110_open` function to the `hi3110_can_probe` function. This ensures that the workqueue is properly initialized before it is used during device resume. And added logic to destroy the workqueue in the error handling paths of `hi3110_can_probe` and in the `hi3110_can_remove` function to prevent resource leaks. | ||||

| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: powerpc/pseries: Rework lppaca_shared_proc() to avoid DEBUG_PREEMPT lppaca_shared_proc() takes a pointer to the lppaca which is typically accessed through get_lppaca(). With DEBUG_PREEMPT enabled, this leads to checking if preemption is enabled, for example: BUG: using smp_processor_id() in preemptible [00000000] code: grep/10693 caller is lparcfg_data+0x408/0x19a0 CPU: 4 PID: 10693 Comm: grep Not tainted 6.5.0-rc3 #2 Call Trace: dump_stack_lvl+0x154/0x200 (unreliable) check_preemption_disabled+0x214/0x220 lparcfg_data+0x408/0x19a0 ... This isn't actually a problem however, as it does not matter which lppaca is accessed, the shared proc state will be the same. vcpudispatch_stats_procfs_init() already works around this by disabling preemption, but the lparcfg code does not, erroring any time /proc/powerpc/lparcfg is accessed with DEBUG_PREEMPT enabled. Instead of disabling preemption on the caller side, rework lppaca_shared_proc() to not take a pointer and instead directly access the lppaca, bypassing any potential preemption checks. | In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: wifi: ath9k: hif_usb: fix memory leak of urbs in ath9k_hif_usb_dealloc_tx_urbs() Syzkaller reports a long-known leak of urbs in ath9k_hif_usb_dealloc_tx_urbs(). The cause of the leak is that usb_get_urb() is called but usb_free_urb() (or usb_put_urb()) is not called inside usb_kill_urb() as urb->dev or urb->ep fields have not been initialized and usb_kill_urb() returns immediately. The patch removes trying to kill urbs located in hif_dev->tx.tx_buf because hif_dev->tx.tx_buf is not supposed to contain urbs which are in pending state (the pending urbs are stored in hif_dev->tx.tx_pending). The tx.tx_lock is acquired so there should not be any changes in the list. Found by Linux Verification Center (linuxtesting.org) with Syzkaller. | ||||
