| backend/comics/comics-document.c (aka the comic book backend) in GNOME Evince before 3.24.1 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary commands via a .cbt file that is a TAR archive containing a filename beginning with a "--" command-line option substring, as demonstrated by a --checkpoint-action=exec=bash at the beginning of the filename. | ||||
| CVE-2017-16353 | 2 Debian, Graphicsmagick | 2 Debian Linux, Graphicsmagick | 2025-04-20 | N/A |
| GraphicsMagick 1.3.26 is vulnerable to a memory information disclosure vulnerability found in the DescribeImage function of the magick/describe.c file, because of a heap-based buffer over-read. The portion of the code containing the vulnerability is responsible for printing the IPTC Profile information contained in the image. This vulnerability can be triggered with a specially crafted MIFF file. There is an out-of-bounds buffer dereference because certain increments are never checked. | ||||

| CVE-2017-6009 | 3 Debian, Icoutils Project, Redhat | 9 Debian Linux, Icoutils, Enterprise Linux and 6 more | 2025-04-20 | N/A |
| An issue was discovered in icoutils 0.31.1. A buffer overflow was observed in the "decode_ne_resource_id" function in the "restable.c" source file. This is happening because the "len" parameter for memcpy is not checked for size and thus becomes a negative integer in the process, resulting in a failed memcpy. This affects wrestool. | ||||
| CVE-2017-6011 | 3 Debian, Icoutils Project, Redhat | 9 Debian Linux, Icoutils, Enterprise Linux and 6 more | 2025-04-20 | N/A |
| An issue was discovered in icoutils 0.31.1. An out-of-bounds read leading to a buffer overflow was observed in the "simple_vec" function in the "extract.c" source file. This affects icotool. | ||||
| CVE-2017-1000366 | 8 Debian, Gnu, Mcafee and 5 more | 26 Debian Linux, Glibc, Web Gateway and 23 more | 2025-04-20 | N/A |
| glibc contains a vulnerability that allows specially crafted LD_LIBRARY_PATH values to manipulate the heap/stack, causing them to alias, potentially resulting in arbitrary code execution. Please note that additional hardening changes have been made to glibc to prevent manipulation of stack and heap memory but these issues are not directly exploitable, as such they have not been given a CVE. This affects glibc 2.25 and earlier. | ||||
| CVE-2017-9324 | 2 Debian, Otrs | 2 Debian Linux, Otrs | 2025-04-20 | N/A |
| In Open Ticket Request System (OTRS) 3.3.x through 3.3.16, 4.x through 4.0.23, and 5.x through 5.0.19, an attacker with agent permission is capable of opening a specific URL in a browser to gain administrative privileges / full access. Afterward, all system settings can be read and changed. The URLs in question contain index.pl?Action=Installer with ;Subaction=Intro or ;Subaction=Start or ;Subaction=System appended at the end. | ||||
| CVE-2017-1000410 | 3 Debian, Linux, Redhat | 13 Debian Linux, Linux Kernel, Enterprise Linux and 10 more | 2025-04-20 | N/A |
| The Linux kernel version 3.3-rc1 and later is affected by a vulnerability lies in the processing of incoming L2CAP commands - ConfigRequest, and ConfigResponse messages. This info leak is a result of uninitialized stack variables that may be returned to an attacker in their uninitialized state. By manipulating the code flows that precede the handling of these configuration messages, an attacker can also gain some control over which data will be held in the uninitialized stack variables. This can allow him to bypass KASLR, and stack canaries protection - as both pointers and stack canaries may be leaked in this manner. Combining this vulnerability (for example) with the previously disclosed RCE vulnerability in L2CAP configuration parsing (CVE-2017-1000251) may allow an attacker to exploit the RCE against kernels which were built with the above mitigations. These are the specifics of this vulnerability: In the function l2cap_parse_conf_rsp and in the function l2cap_parse_conf_req the following variable is declared without initialization: struct l2cap_conf_efs efs; In addition, when parsing input configuration parameters in both of these functions, the switch case for handling EFS elements may skip the memcpy call that will write to the efs variable: ... case L2CAP_CONF_EFS: if (olen == sizeof(efs)) memcpy(&efs, (void *)val, olen); ... The olen in the above if is attacker controlled, and regardless of that if, in both of these functions the efs variable would eventually be added to the outgoing configuration request that is being built: l2cap_add_conf_opt(&ptr, L2CAP_CONF_EFS, sizeof(efs), (unsigned long) &efs); So by sending a configuration request, or response, that contains an L2CAP_CONF_EFS element, but with an element length that is not sizeof(efs) - the memcpy to the uninitialized efs variable can be avoided, and the uninitialized variable would be returned to the attacker (16 bytes). | ||||
| CVE-2017-9344 | 2 Debian, Wireshark | 2 Debian Linux, Wireshark | 2025-04-20 | N/A |
| In Wireshark 2.2.0 to 2.2.6 and 2.0.0 to 2.0.12, the Bluetooth L2CAP dissector could divide by zero. This was addressed in epan/dissectors/packet-btl2cap.c by validating an interval value. | ||||
| CVE-2017-9404 | 3 Canonical, Debian, Libtiff | 3 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Libtiff | 2025-04-20 | N/A |
| In LibTIFF 4.0.7, a memory leak vulnerability was found in the function OJPEGReadHeaderInfoSecTablesQTable in tif_ojpeg.c, which allows attackers to cause a denial of service via a crafted file. | ||||
| CVE-2017-16852 | 2 Debian, Shibboleth | 2 Debian Linux, Service Provider | 2025-04-20 | N/A |
| shibsp/metadata/DynamicMetadataProvider.cpp in the Dynamic MetadataProvider plugin in Shibboleth Service Provider before 2.6.1 fails to properly configure itself with the MetadataFilter plugins and does not perform critical security checks such as signature verification, enforcement of validity periods, and other checks specific to deployments, aka SSPCPP-763. | ||||
| CVE-2017-9468 | 2 Debian, Irssi | 2 Debian Linux, Irssi | 2025-04-20 | N/A |
| In Irssi before 1.0.3, when receiving a DCC message without source nick/host, it attempts to dereference a NULL pointer. Thus, remote IRC servers can cause a crash. | ||||

| CVE-2017-17405 | 3 Debian, Redhat, Ruby-lang | 13 Debian Linux, Enterprise Linux, Enterprise Linux Desktop and 10 more | 2025-04-20 | N/A |
| Ruby before 2.4.3 allows Net::FTP command injection. Net::FTP#get, getbinaryfile, gettextfile, put, putbinaryfile, and puttextfile use Kernel#open to open a local file. If the localfile argument starts with the "|" pipe character, the command following the pipe character is executed. The default value of localfile is File.basename(remotefile), so malicious FTP servers could cause arbitrary command execution. | ||||
| CVE-2016-6794 | 6 Apache, Canonical, Debian and 3 more | 15 Tomcat, Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux and 12 more | 2025-04-20 | 5.3 Medium |
| When a SecurityManager is configured, a web application's ability to read system properties should be controlled by the SecurityManager. In Apache Tomcat 9.0.0.M1 to 9.0.0.M9, 8.5.0 to 8.5.4, 8.0.0.RC1 to 8.0.36, 7.0.0 to 7.0.70, 6.0.0 to 6.0.45 the system property replacement feature for configuration files could be used by a malicious web application to bypass the SecurityManager and read system properties that should not be visible. | ||||
