| CVE-2026-15588 | 1 Redhat | 15 Cert Manager, Discovery, Enterprise Linux and 12 more | 2026-09-10 | 5.3 Medium |
| A denial-of-service and resource exhaustion vulnerability exists within the `GDBus` component of GLib. The `gdbusauth` authentication mechanism fails to enforce proper length limitations on data lines read from a client. An unauthenticated local or remote attacker can exploit this lack of input validation by sending excessively long streams of data, causing the application to consume massive amounts of system memory and CPU, potentially leading to a crash or system hang. | ||||
| CVE-2026-4897 | 2 Freedesktop, Redhat | 5 Polkit, Enterprise Linux, Hummingbird and 2 more | 2026-09-10 | 5.5 Medium |
| A flaw was found in polkit. A local user can exploit this by providing a specially crafted, excessively long input to the `polkit-agent-helper-1` setuid binary via standard input (stdin). This unbounded input can lead to an out-of-memory (OOM) condition, resulting in a Denial of Service (DoS) for the system. | ||||
| CVE-2026-12891 | 3 Gstreamer, Gstreamer Project, Redhat | 3 Gstreamer, Gstreamer Plugin, Enterprise Linux | 2026-09-10 | 4.3 Medium |
| A flaw was found in the GStreamer gst-plugins-bad package. When processing a malformed H.266/VVC video stream with a crafted aspect ratio indicator value, the H.266 parser performs an out-of-bounds read of up to 8 bytes from adjacent memory. This flaw allows an attacker to craft a malicious H.266 video file or stream that, when processed by a GStreamer-based application, could leak limited memory contents through video metadata, potentially exposing sensitive information from the application's address space. | ||||
| CVE-2026-12892 | 3 Gstreamer, Gstreamer Project, Redhat | 3 Gstreamer, Gstreamer Plugin, Enterprise Linux | 2026-09-10 | 4.4 Medium |
| A flaw was found in GStreamer's gst-plugins-bad package. When processing a specially crafted H.264 video file containing malformed MVC or SVC extension slice NAL units, a 1-byte heap out-of-bounds read can occur during parsing. This happens when the parser attempts to check slice boundary information without first verifying that the NAL unit contains enough data beyond the extension header. An attacker could exploit this by tricking a user into opening a malicious H.264 video file, potentially causing the application to crash or leak a single byte of heap memory. | ||||
| CVE-2026-59691 | 2 Gstreamer, Redhat | 9 Gstreamer, Enterprise Linux, Enterprise Linux Eus and 6 more | 2026-09-10 | 7.1 High |
| A heap buffer overflow vulnerability was found in GStreamer's rfbsrc plugin. When a client connects to a malicious RFB/VNC server that advertises a 16bpp framebuffer and sends Hextile-encoded updates, the Hextile background fill path writes 32-bit pixel values into a buffer allocated for 16-bit pixels. This type mismatch causes an out-of-bounds heap write that can lead to denial of service (process crash) and potential memory corruption. | ||||
| CVE-2026-59692 | 2 Gstreamer, Redhat | 9 Gstreamer, Enterprise Linux, Enterprise Linux Eus and 6 more | 2026-09-10 | 7.5 High |
| A stack buffer overflow vulnerability was found in GStreamer's DTLS plugin. During a DTLS handshake, the peer certificate Subject Distinguished Name is printed into a fixed-size 2048-byte stack buffer without bounds checking. A remote unauthenticated attacker can send a certificate with an oversized Subject DN that exceeds the buffer, causing a stack buffer overflow and process crash, resulting in denial of service. | ||||
| CVE-2026-53002 | 2 Linux, Redhat | 2 Linux Kernel, Enterprise Linux | 2026-09-10 | 9.8 Critical |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: netfilter: conntrack: remove sprintf usage Replace it with scnprintf, the buffer sizes are expected to be large enough to hold the result, no need for snprintf+overflow check. | CVE-2026-74859 | 1 Redhat | 1 Enterprise Linux | 2026-09-09 | 6.8 Medium |
| The shell theme installer in gnome-tweaks extracts user-supplied ZIP archives without validating archive member paths. As a result, a crafted theme archive can write files outside ~/.themes by using ../ path traversal, absolute paths, or symlink entries. | ||||
| CVE-2026-18453 | 1 Redhat | 11 Directory Server, Directory Server E4s, Enterprise Linux and 8 more | 2026-09-09 | 7.5 High |
| A flaw was found in 389 Directory Server. A missing NULL pointer check in the paged results handling of op_shared_search allows an unauthenticated remote attacker to crash the LDAP server by sending a crafted sequence of search requests using the USE_ONE_BACKEND control, resulting in denial of service. | ||||
| CVE-2026-86564 | 1 Redhat | 2 Enterprise Linux, Openshift | 2026-09-09 | 3.3 Low |
| A flaw was found in DPDK lib/vhost. Missing length validation before reading command_data in the virtio-net control-queue handler can cause an out-of-bounds read and a host process crash. | ||||
| CVE-2026-9697 | 3 Nodejs, Redhat, Undici | 3 Undici, Hummingbird, Undici | 2026-09-09 | 7.4 High |
| Impact: undici's ProxyAgent silently drops the requestTls option when configured with a SOCKS5 proxy URI (socks5:// or socks://). The target HTTPS connection through the SOCKS5 tunnel falls back to Node's default trust store, ignoring user-configured ca, cert, key, rejectUnauthorized, and servername settings. Applications that pin to an internal or corporate CA via requestTls.ca will, when their proxy URI is SOCKS5, get the default Mozilla CA bundle as the trust anchor instead. Any cert signed by any publicly-trusted CA for the target hostname is accepted, breaking the intended pin and enabling MITM read and tamper of the HTTPS exchange. Affected applications are those that use undici's ProxyAgent (or Socks5ProxyAgent directly) with SOCKS5 AND rely on requestTls for TLS scope restriction. The bug was introduced in undici 7.23.0 when SOCKS5 support was added. Patches: Upgrade to undici v7.28.0 or v8.5.0. Workarounds: No workaround is available within the SOCKS5 path. If a SOCKS5 proxy with TLS scope restriction is required and an upgrade is not yet possible, route the traffic through an HTTP-proxy ProxyAgent instead, where requestTls is honored correctly. | ||||
| CVE-2026-6734 | 3 Nodejs, Redhat, Undici | 3 Undici, Hummingbird, Undici | 2026-09-09 | 7.5 High |
| Impact: When using Socks5ProxyAgent, undici reuses a single connection pool across different origins without verifying that the pool's origin matches the requested origin. All requests are dispatched through the pool connected to the first origin, regardless of the intended destination. This causes cross-origin request routing: credentials and request data intended for origin B are sent to origin A, responses from the wrong origin are trusted, and HTTPS requests may be silently downgraded to HTTP. Impacted users are applications that use Socks5ProxyAgent (directly or via setGlobalDispatcher) and make requests to more than one origin. This was introduced in undici 7.23.0 via PR #4385 and affects all versions through 8.1.0. Patches: Upgrade to undici v7.26.0 or v8.2.0. Workarounds: Use a separate Socks5ProxyAgent instance per origin, or avoid using Socks5ProxyAgent with multiple origins. | ||||
| CVE-2026-53009 | 2 Linux, Redhat | 2 Linux Kernel, Enterprise Linux | 2026-09-09 | 7.8 High |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ice: fix double-free of tx_buf skb If ice_tso() or ice_tx_csum() fail, the error path in ice_xmit_frame_ring() frees the skb, but the 'first' tx_buf still points to it and is marked as valid (ICE_TX_BUF_SKB). 'next_to_use' remains unchanged, so the potential problem will likely fix itself when the next packet is transmitted and the tx_buf gets overwritten. But if there is no next packet and the interface is brought down instead, ice_clean_tx_ring() -> ice_unmap_and_free_tx_buf() will find the tx_buf and free the skb for the second time. The fix is to reset the tx_buf type to ICE_TX_BUF_EMPTY in the error path, so that ice_unmap_and_free_tx_buf(). Move the initialization of 'first' up, to ensure it's already valid in case we hit the linearization error path. The bug was spotted by AI while I had it looking for something else. It also proposed an initial version of the patch. I reproduced the bug and tested the fix by adding code to inject failures, on a build with KASAN. I looked for similar bugs in related Intel drivers and did not find any. | ||||
| CVE-2026-74860 | 1 Redhat | 5 Enterprise Linux, Hardened Images, Hummingbird and 2 more | 2026-09-09 | 8.5 High |
| A flaw was found in libxml2 with Python bindings enabled. A remote attacker could exploit this vulnerability by providing a specially crafted XML document containing a Document Type Definition (DTD) with enumerated attribute values. This triggers a double-free error in the SAX attributeDecl callback handler, where a string is freed twice. This flaw can lead to a denial of service (DoS) due to a reproducible crash in Python applications using the libxml2 SAX bindings. | ||||
| CVE-2026-72694 | 2 Mrtgconfig, Redhat | 2 Mrtg, Enterprise Linux | 2026-09-09 | 7.1 High |
| A flaw was found in MRTG. When the MRTG daemon is started as a root user and subsequently drops privileges, a local, low-privileged attacker can exploit a symbolic link (symlink) following vulnerability. By influencing or pre-placing a symlink in the process ID (PID) file path, the attacker can trick the root process into changing the ownership of an arbitrary existing file to the daemon user. This can lead to local privilege escalation, allowing unauthorized access to or modification of sensitive files. | ||||
| CVE-2026-18743 | 2 Redhat, Rpm-software-management | 6 Enterprise Linux, Hardened Images, Hummingbird and 3 more | 2026-09-08 | 2.5 Low |
| A flaw was found in popt. This vulnerability allows an attacker to provide specially crafted configuration content to a host, which, when loaded, can lead to a small memory corruption issue. This occurs because of an error in how the `poptConfigFileToString` function reallocates memory for buffers. Successful exploitation could result in heap metadata corruption, potentially causing the affected process to become unavailable (denial of service). | ||||
| CVE-2026-78701 | 1 Redhat | 2 Directory Server, Enterprise Linux | 2026-09-08 | 6.5 Medium |
| A flaw was found in 389-ds-base. A remote, authenticated attacker could exploit a vulnerability in the Simple Authentication and Security Layer (SASL) UNBIND process. By sending a specially crafted request, the attacker can cause a connection to stall, leading to resource exhaustion and a Denial of Service (DoS) for the server. | ||||
