CVSS v3.1 |
| The Symfony Routing components CompiledUrlMatcher and UrlMatcher interpret the host and path information differently, allowing path-based authorization rules to be bypassed in Symfony versions prior to 5.4.56, 6.x prior to 6.4.50, 7.x prior to 7.4.23, and 8.x prior to 8.1.11.
For routes that define a host, CompiledUrlMatcher matches the string $host.'.'.$pathinfo against the host regular expression followed by the path regular expression, while UrlMatcher matches the host and the path separately. A host placeholder can therefore match /, and consume the beginning of the path, so the request is routed to a controller, while UrlMatcher would find no route. Rules that look at the path, such as access_control entries and firewall patterns, are evaluated against the actual request path, so they do not apply while the controller of the route runs, potentially allowing an unauthenticated request to reach a protected controller. For example, with the route /admin/report/{id}, the host app.{domain} and the rule access_control: [{ path: ^/admin, roles: ROLE_ADMIN }], an anonymous request for /admin/report/1 is sent to the login page. A request with the Host header app and path /x./admin/report/1 instead reaches the controller, with domain="/x". With the required domain: .+, the real hostname works: app.example.com and /x./admin/report/1 match with domain="example.com./x".
Applications are affected if they have routes with host placeholders protected by path-based rules. With the default requirement, the Host header must be the host of the route without its last labels, such as app: framework.trusted_hosts blocks that, while a web server that only serves known names may not, for instance, Nginx passing the raw Host header to FastCGI for a request line that carries an absolute URI. If the requirement accepts /, such as .+, a real hostname works, and trusted_hosts does not help. |
| CGI versions before 5.00 for Perl allow form fields to be smuggled past proxies and WAFs via multipart parsing that differs from the RFCs.
The multipart/form-data parser matches the boundary anywhere rather than at the start of a line, uses the boundary without its leading -- for some client-supplied User-Agent values, finds the Content-Disposition name and filename inside the quoted values of other parameters, and corrupts parts when the boundary nears the 4096-byte read size. |
| The WPvivid — Backup, Migration & Staging WordPress plugin before 0.9.137 does not validate the extension of the file it actually stores when handling an import upload: it checks the extension of a separate request field while saving the uploaded file itself with WordPress's upload type-checking disabled, so an authenticated administrator can store a file with an arbitrary extension, including a PHP file, in the WPvivid — Backup, Migration & Staging WordPress plugin before 0.9.137's import directory. This is an incomplete fix of CVE-2025-5961, whose extension check was applied to the wrong value. |
| A flaw was found in uv. This vulnerability allows an attacker to execute malicious code during package resolution or installation via specially crafted ZIP (Zipped Information Package) archives that exploit parsing differentials, requiring user interaction to install an attacker-controlled package. |
| File upload logic in Apache Struts is flawed. An attacker can manipulate file upload params to enable paths traversal and under some circumstances this can lead to uploading a malicious file which can be used to perform Remote Code Execution.
This issue affects Apache Struts: from 2.0.0 before 6.4.0.
Users are recommended to upgrade to version 6.4.0 at least and migrate to the new file upload mechanism https://struts.apache.org/core-developers/file-upload . If you are not using an old file upload logic based on FileuploadInterceptor your application is safe.
You can find more details in https://cwiki.apache.org/confluence/display/WW/S2-067 |
| Certain models of ASUS routers have an arbitrary firmware upload vulnerability. An unauthenticated remote attacker can exploit this vulnerability to execute arbitrary system commands on the device. |
| The executable file warning was not presented when downloading .xrm-ms files.
*Note: This issue only affected Windows operating systems. Other operating systems are unaffected.* This vulnerability affects Firefox < 125, Firefox ESR < 115.10, and Thunderbird < 115.10. |
| OpenVPN plug-ins on Windows with OpenVPN 2.6.9 and earlier could be loaded from any directory, which allows an attacker to load an arbitrary plug-in which can be used to interact with the privileged OpenVPN interactive service. |
| Security issue in Platform in Google Chrome prior to 157.0.8103.38 allowed a remote attacker to bypass web origin policy via a crafted HTML page. (Chromium security severity: Medium) |
| The K2 frontend article-attachment upload path accepts files whose extension is `.php`, and Apache's standard mod_php matches `\.php$` and executes them under the K2 web user. A K2 Author can upload a `shell.php`, then fetch `/media/k2/attachments/shell.php` and execute arbitrary PHP code in the web server's context. |
| Bagisto before 2.4.5 contains a stored cross-site scripting vulnerability that allows authenticated customers to upload HTML files via the RMA send-message endpoint without type or extension validation. Attackers can upload a .html attachment containing JavaScript served under /storage/rma-conversation/, executing script in the shop's origin when an administrator opens it. |
| Dell Wyse Management Suite, versions prior to 2605.0.3.683, contain an Unrestricted Upload of File with Dangerous Type vulnerability. An unauthenticated attacker with remote access could potentially exploit this vulnerability, leading to Remote execution. |
| authentik is an open-source identity provider. Prior to 2026.2.6 and 2026.5.5, an inbound SAML Source configured with the non-default USERNAME_LINK or EMAIL_LINK user-matching mode interprets an XML comment in a NameID differently from the identity provider's signed assertion. An attacker with an account on the source identity provider who can set the account's NameID can inject an XML comment that truncates the value used by authentik to the text before the comment while the signed assertion remains valid. A crafted NameID can therefore truncate to a victim's username or email and bind the attacker's external identity to the victim's existing account. This grants full takeover without the victim's password or the identity provider's private key, and the malicious link persists so later logins succeed without the comment. Sources using the default unique-identifier matching mode and authentik's outbound SAML Provider role are not affected. This issue is fixed in versions 2026.2.6 and 2026.5.5. |
| Sitecore PowerShell Extensions, an add-on to Sitecore Experience Manager (XM) and Experience Platform (XP), through version 7.0 is vulnerable to an unrestricted file upload issue. A remote, authenticated attacker can upload arbitrary files to the server using crafted HTTP requests, resulting in remote code execution. |
| Dell AppSync, version(s) 4.6.0.0, contains an Unrestricted Upload of File with Dangerous Type vulnerability. A high privileged attacker with remote access could potentially exploit this vulnerability, leading to Remote execution. |
| A vulnerability in the web UI of Cisco Unified CCX could allow an authenticated, remote attacker to upload and execute arbitrary files.
This vulnerability is due to an insufficient input validation associated to file upload mechanisms. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability by uploading a malicious file to the web UI and executing it. A successful exploit could allow the attacker to execute arbitrary commands on the underlying system and elevate privileges to root. To exploit this vulnerability, the attacker must have valid administrative credentials. |
| A vulnerability in the web UI of Cisco Unified CCX could allow an authenticated, remote attacker to upload and execute arbitrary files.
This vulnerability is due to an insufficient input validation associated to specific UI features. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability by uploading a crafted file to the web UI. A successful exploit could allow the attacker to upload arbitrary files to a vulnerable system and execute them, gaining access to the underlying operating system. To exploit this vulnerability, the attacker must have valid administrative credentials. |
| A vulnerability in the Java Remote Method Invocation (RMI) process of Cisco Unified CCX could allow an unauthenticated, remote attacker to upload arbitrary files and execute arbitrary commands with root permissions on an affected system.
This vulnerability is due to improper authentication mechanisms that are associated to specific Cisco Unified CCX features. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability by uploading a crafted file to an affected system through the Java RMI process. A successful exploit could allow the attacker to execute arbitrary commands on the underlying operating system and elevate privileges to root. |
| Volmarg Personal Management System through 2.1.0 contains an unrestricted file upload vulnerability that allows authenticated users to upload PHP files via the /upload/send/ endpoint. Attackers can submit base64 fileContent with a .php fileName into the web root and request it to execute code as the web server user. |
| The Advanced Custom Fields: Extended PRO plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Limited Code Injection in all versions up to, and including, 0.9.2.6 via the render_field function. This is due to insufficient validation of form configuration parameters before merging into field settings and passing to call_user_func_array in the render_field method. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to call arbitrary WordPress functions with controlled arguments. Method 1 requires the administrator to enable the non-default 'shortcode_preview' setting for the target form, while Method 2 requires the server environment to lack OpenSSL functions, causing ACF Pro's acf_decrypt to fall back to unverified base64 decoding. |
