CVSS v3.1 |
Buffer overflow in ANGLE in Google Chrome prior to 157.0.8103.38 allowed a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code outside the sandbox via a crafted HTML page. (Chromium security severity: High)
In multiple functions of hppsfilter.c, there is a possible out-of-bounds write due to a stack buffer overflow. This could lead to local escalation of privilege with no additional execution privileges needed. User interaction is not needed for exploitation.
A stack-based buffer overflow exists in Kamailio v6.1.3 and v6.1.4 in the ims_registrar_pcscf module. When processing a crafted application/reginfo+xml NOTIFY message, process_contact() copies an attacker-controlled port value from the alias parameter into a fixed 5-byte stack buffer without validating its length. An unauthenticated remote attacker can trigger stack corruption and terminate the P-CSCF process, resulting in denial of service.
imagecodecs 2023.1.23 through 2026.10.10 contains a stack-based buffer overflow vulnerability in the lossless JPEG Define Huffman Table parser in decode_jpegsof3(). Attackers can supply a crafted lossless JPEG whose DHT symbol counts wrap an 8-bit sum, overflowing the 32-entry HufVal and HufSz stack arrays and crashing the calling process.
ReadyMedia (formerly MiniDLNA) versions 1.3.0 through 1.3.3 contain a stack-based buffer overflow vulnerability that allows remote attackers to corrupt stack memory by crafting a malicious DFF audio file with an oversized PROP chunk size value that is used unvalidated to allocate a variable-length stack array and read file data into it. Attackers can place a crafted DFF file in a directory monitored by ReadyMedia to trigger automatic parsing via inotify, achieving remote code execution on unprotected builds or denial of service on hardened builds with stack protections.
OpenAirInterface Core Network v2.2.1 has a stack-based buffer overflow vulnerability in the OAI CN5G UDM Nudm_UEAU Generate Authentication Data endpoint. The UDM passes attacker-controlled resynchronizationInfo.rand and auts values to conv::hex_str_to_uint8(), which converts arbitrary-length hex strings into fixed-size stack buffers without validating the destination size. An unauthenticated attacker with access to the SBI interface and a valid SUPI can submit an oversized value to overwrite adjacent stack memory, corrupt the stack canary, and terminate the UDM process.
A stack overflow was addressed with improved input validation. This issue is fixed in iOS 26.7.2 and iPadOS 26.7.2, iOS 27.2 and iPadOS 27.2, macOS Golden Gate 27.2, macOS Sequoia 15.8.2, macOS Tahoe 26.7.2, visionOS 27.2. Processing a maliciously crafted message may lead to a denial-of-service.
osmo-msc through 1.15.0 contains a stack-based buffer overflow in decode_mme_name() in src/libmsc/sgs_iface.c. This allows a remote attacker to cause a denial of service.
A stack-based buffer overflow exists in Kamailio v6.1.3 and v6.1.4 in the ims_qos_npn module. The w_rx_aar_register() function copies the attacker-controlled host field from the SIP `Via` header into a fixed 46-byte stack buffer without validating its length. An unauthenticated remote attacker can trigger the vulnerability with a crafted SIP `REGISTER` request, causing stack corruption and termination of the affected Kamailio instance, resulting in denial of service.
PyMuPDF 1.25.3 before 2.0 contains a stack-based buffer overflow vulnerability in JM_set_annot_callout_line() that copies a caller-supplied number of callout points into a fixed three-element stack array. Attackers who control the callout argument passed to Page.add_freetext_annot() can supply four or more points to overwrite the stack frame, crashing the process or executing code.
The psqlODBC parser for ODBC escape sequences in application SQL text writes the argument offsets of a {fn} escape into a fixed 16-entry stack array without a bound and does not initialize the array. An escape with too many arguments overflows the stack, and a reference to an unsupplied argument copies arbitrary bytes into the query. The copy of a {d}, {t}, {ts}, or {escape} body also writes one byte past a 128-byte stack buffer. An application that forwards untrusted SQL text to the driver exposes its process to memory corruption. Versions before psqlODBC 18.00.0006 are affected.
For updatable cursors, which are enabled by default, psqlODBC adds hidden ctid and, for tables with OIDs, oid columns to the query. It copies each value into a 32-byte stack buffer using the length the server sent, without checking it against the buffer size, so a value of 32 bytes or more writes past the buffer. A server not trusted under current SSL settings can send such a value. So can any database user who can create a view with its own column named ctid that the application reads with an updatable cursor. Builds with _FORTIFY_SOURCE abort; other builds overwrite adjacent stack memory. Versions before psqlODBC 18.00.0006 are affected.
When psqlODBC quotes a schema or table name into a 128-byte stack buffer, its length check lets it write up to two bytes past the end of the buffer for a long name. The names come from the application's SQL text: the table of a statement the driver parses to describe its columns, and the target of the last INSERT when the driver rewrites SELECT @@IDENTITY. In the @@IDENTITY rewrite, a column name sent by the server can also write one byte past the buffer. The bytes written past the buffer are a double quote and a NUL. An application that forwards untrusted SQL text to the driver exposes its process to stack corruption. Versions before psqlODBC 18.00.0006 are affected.
In display, there is a possible system crash due to a logic error. This could lead to local denial of service if a malicious actor has already obtained the System privilege. User interaction is not needed for exploitation. Patch ID: ALPS11410704; Issue ID: MSV-9574.
Netpbm before 10.86.51, 11.x before 11.02.30, and 11.03 before 11.15.08 contains a stack-based buffer overflow in the picttoppm paintPoly() function due to an unbounded polygon point count. Attackers can supply a crafted PICT file with a polygon exceeding 100 points to overwrite the fixed pts array, causing crashes or potentially code execution.
Stack-based buffer overflow in SQL Server allows an authorized attacker to elevate privileges over a network.
A flaw was found in GIMP. The PSD thumbnail resource loader performs a BGR-to-RGB channel swap with a fixed 3-byte stride and does not verify that the JPEG thumbnail is RGB. A crafted grayscale PSD thumbnail can cause a heap out-of-bounds read and write in the plug-in process, leading to a crash and potentially arbitrary code execution when the victim browses or opens the file.
ConnMan through 2.0 has a stack-based buffer overflow via a DHCPv6 Reply message. This occurs in get_domains in gdhcp/client.c. It copies a fixed NS_MAXDNAME (1025) bytes from a DHCPv6 DOMAIN_LIST (option 24) value into a 1026-byte stack buffer dns_name regardless of the actual option length, then walks DNS labels with an unbounded "c += jump + 1" loop. A crafted DHCPv6 REPLY with a DOMAIN_LIST option of >= 1025 non-zero bytes makes the label walk leave the buffer and read/write '.' past its end in attacker-chosen strides. An on-link attacker can trigger this without authentication via a forged Router Advertisement (O=1) and a forged DHCPv6 REPLY matching xid/CLIENTID with a long DOMAIN_LIST. The impact is unauthenticated on-link crash of connmand (runs as root). This was introduced in bb06c47.
A buffer overflow vulnerability exists in the underlying operating system of AOS that could lead to unauthenticated remote code execution by an unauthenticated remote attacker. Successful exploitation of this vulnerability results in the ability to execute arbitrary code as a privileged user on the underlying operating system.
Netpbm before 10.86.51, 11.x before 11.02.30, and 11.03 before 11.15.08 contains a stack-based buffer overflow in picttoppm's scanPoly() function in converter/ppm/picttoppm.c. Attackers can supply a crafted PICT file whose polygon edges produce more than 5000 points, overflowing the coord stack array to crash the converter or potentially execute code.
