HAPI FHIR is a complete implementation of the HL7 FHIR standard for healthcare interoperability in Java. Prior to version 6.9.12, SHCParser in org.hl7.fhir.r5/src/main/java/org/hl7/fhir/r5/elementmodel/SHCParser.java can consume attacker-controlled Smart Health Card JWT content whose header contains zip: "DEF" and whose small raw-DEFLATE payload expands to a very large value. SHCParser.decodeJWT() passes the decoded payload to SHCParser.inflate(), which accumulates all decompressed bytes in a ByteArrayOutputStream without an output-size limit before JSON parsing, and SHCParser.decompress() contains the same unbounded pattern. An application or validator service that accepts attacker-supplied SHC content can therefore suffer excessive heap allocation, severe garbage-collection pressure, request failure, process instability, or process termination. This issue is fixed in version 6.9.12.

Http4s is a Scala interface for HTTP services. Prior to 0.23.35 and 1.0.0-M47, Ember HTTP/2 serializes outbound frames through one unbounded queue consumed by writeLoop. When the peer stops reading, an unauthenticated HTTP/2 client can continue sending PING, SETTINGS, or DATA frames that cause Ember to enqueue acknowledgments or WINDOW_UPDATE frames faster than the writer drains them, exhausting heap memory on a server built with withHttp2. The shared behavior also affects an ember-client connected to a hostile HTTP/2 server, and the patch replaces the unbounded path with bounded, backpressured outbound queues. This issue is fixed in versions 0.23.35 and 1.0.0-M47.

Http4s is a Scala interface for HTTP services. Prior to 0.23.35 and 1.0.0-M47, the DigestAuth server middleware removes fresh nonces and stops eviction at the first stale nonce because its stale-nonce comparison is inverted. On an application that protects at least one route with DigestAuth, an unauthenticated attacker can repeatedly trigger authentication challenges, causing the persistent nonce map to grow until the JVM exhausts heap memory. This issue is fixed in versions 0.23.35 and 1.0.0-M47.

A flaw was found in gss-ntlmssp. A memory leak occurs in the NTLM target-info parser when a crafted NTLM CHALLENGE message contains duplicated string-valued AV_PAIR entries. The parser allocates memory for each string value but does not free the previous allocation when the same AV_PAIR type appears more than once, leaking the earlier allocation. A malicious or man-in-the-middle server can exploit this to cause gradual memory exhaustion on the client during NTLM authentication, leading to a denial of service.

A vulnerability in the EIGRP implementation in Cisco Secure Firewall Adaptive Security Appliance (ASA) Software and Cisco Secure Firewall Threat Defense (FTD) Software could allow an unauthenticated, adjacent attacker to cause the device to reload unexpectedly, resulting in a denial of service (DoS) condition. This vulnerability is due to improper resource management when handling EIGRP update messages. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability by sending crafted EIGRP updates at a high rate to an affected device. A successful exploit could allow the attacker to trigger a memory leak that will eventually cause the affected device to reload unexpectedly.

SHCParser.decodeJWT() reaches SHCParser.inflate(), where Inflater.inflate() can return zero while Inflater.finished() remains false and Inflater.needsInput() is true. The loop also lacks an Inflater.needsDictionary() termination check, SHCParser.decompress() contains the same zero-progress pattern, and ResourceChecker.java can reach SHC parsing during file-format detection. A malformed validation request can pin a JVM worker thread indefinitely, and concurrent requests can exhaust all validation workers. This issue is fixed in version 6.9.12.

Wazuh 4.4.0 before 4.14.7 contains a denial of service vulnerability in the fdecompress_files() function within cluster.py that allows authenticated cluster peers to exhaust memory by supplying a malicious synchronization archive without decompressed size limits. Attackers holding a valid cluster Fernet key can upload a small, highly compressed zip bomb archive that forces wazuh-clusterd on the master node to decompress the full payload into memory, causing memory exhaustion and service disruption.
