CVSS v3.1 |
| The Apache Pulsar WebSocket service allows a WebSocket consumer to configure a dead letter policy through query parameters of the consumer endpoint, including the deadLetterTopic parameter that names the topic to which messages are written after the maximum number of redeliveries is exceeded. When authorization is enabled, the WebSocket service checks only that the connecting user holds the CONSUME permission on the subscribed topic. It does not check whether the user holds the PRODUCE permission on the topic named in deadLetterTopic. The dead letter messages are then written by the WebSocket service using its own broker client identity rather than the identity of the connecting user.
As a result, an authenticated user who holds the CONSUME permission on at least one topic can cause messages to be written to a topic of their choosing in any existing namespace, including namespaces belonging to other tenants, provided the role used by the WebSocket service to connect to the brokers is authorized to produce to that topic and the topic accepts a producer that registers no schema. The dead letter producer created by the WebSocket service registers no schema, so it is rejected when the target topic has a schema and schema validation is enforced for that topic or its namespace; this setting is not enabled by default. The same user is refused when attempting to produce to that topic directly. Where automatic topic creation is enabled, which is the default, the named topic is created if it does not already exist. The issue can only be triggered when the WebSocket service is enabled, either in the broker (webSocketServiceEnabled, which is disabled by default) or as a standalone WebSocket proxy.
The impact is unauthorized injection of messages into topics the user is not permitted to produce to. The user can determine the content of the injected messages when they also control the messages on the subscribed topic. The issue does not allow reading, modifying or deleting existing messages in the target topic. Injected messages carry the dead letter message properties and a dead letter producer name, so they can be distinguished from messages produced normally; however, the values of these properties are not authenticated and should not be relied upon to establish the origin of a message. Whether an injected message has further consequences depends on how the applications consuming the target topic process it. Repeated injection also consumes storage and backlog capacity in the target namespace.
This issue affects Apache Pulsar versions from 2.3.0 before 4.0.14 and from 4.1.0 before 4.2.5.
- 4.0.x version users should upgrade to at least 4.0.14.
- 4.1.x and 4.2.x version users should upgrade to at least 4.2.5.
Users operating versions prior to those listed above should upgrade to the aforementioned patched versions or newer versions.
The currently supported Apache Pulsar release lines are 4.0.x and 5.0.x. The supported versions schedule is available at https://pulsar.apache.org/contribute/release-policy/.
Users who cannot upgrade immediately and do not require the WebSocket service should disable it. Where the WebSocket service is required, restricting network access to it and limiting the permissions granted to the role the WebSocket service uses to connect to the brokers to the namespaces WebSocket clients are intended to access reduces the exposure. |
| The Pulsar broker serves two schema commands on its binary protocol: GetSchema, which returns the schema registered for a topic, and GetOrCreateSchema, which registers a new schema version for an existing topic. The broker handled both commands after checking only that the client connection was authenticated. Unlike the broker's other topic commands, such as those for creating producers and consumers or for looking up topics, these two commands did not check whether the authenticated client was authorized for the target topic. The Pulsar REST API endpoints for schemas were not affected.
An authenticated client without any permission on the target topic, namespace or tenant could use these commands to:
- read the schema registered for a topic in another namespace or tenant, disclosing the schema definition such as record field names and types. Message payloads are not disclosed.
- register a new schema version on an existing topic in another namespace or tenant. The topic's schema compatibility and schema auto-update policies still apply. The issue does not allow message data to be read or modified, but a registered schema version can cause legitimate producers and consumers of that topic to fail with schema incompatibility errors until the schema is corrected by an administrator.
The standard Pulsar client performs an authorized topic lookup before it sends these commands, so the missing check could not be observed when testing with the standard client. A client that implements the binary protocol directly is not required to perform that lookup first.
This issue is relevant only to deployments that have authentication and authorization enabled. The GetSchema command is affected from Apache Pulsar 2.2.0, and the GetOrCreateSchema command from Apache Pulsar 2.5.0. After the fix, the broker requires the lookup permission on the topic for GetSchema and the produce permission on the topic for GetOrCreateSchema. This impact analysis assumes that Pulsar has been configured with the default authorization provider. For custom authorization providers, the impact could be slightly different.
This issue affects Apache Pulsar versions from 2.2.0 before 4.0.14, from 4.1.0 through 4.1.3, and from 4.2.0 before 4.2.5.
- 4.0.x version users should upgrade to at least 4.0.14.
- 4.1.x and 4.2.x version users should upgrade to at least 4.2.5.
Users operating versions prior to those listed above should upgrade to the aforementioned patched versions or newer versions.

| WarehousePG (WHPG) 6.27.1 through 6.27.6 and 7.2.1 through 7.6.0 are affected by a missing authorization vulnerability (CWE-862) in the built-in cluster expansion functions gp_expand_lock_catalog() and gp_expand_bump_version(). Any authenticated database role can run them, and neither checks privileges. A low-privileged user can call gp_expand_lock_catalog() inside an open transaction to block all catalog changes across the cluster for every user, superusers included, until that transaction ends, which in practice requires a superuser to terminate the session. Blocked changes include DDL, temporary table creation, GRANT and CREATE ROLE. The same user can call gp_expand_bump_version() repeatedly. Each call disconnects sessions that hold temporary tables, with a FATAL error on their next catalog change, and makes every other session rebuild its segment connections. |
| WarehousePG (WHPG) 7.2.1 through 7.6.0 is affected by a missing authorization vulnerability (CWE-862) in the built-in function gp_log_backend_memory_contexts(). Any authenticated database role can run this function without a GRANT. It also gets around the superuser restriction that PostgreSQL places on the underlying pg_log_backend_memory_contexts() function. A low-privileged user can force the segment backends of any other session, superuser sessions included, to write their memory context details to the segment server logs, which the attacker cannot read. Those details can include query text from other users' cached plans, and the call can be repeated to generate large amounts of log output. WarehousePG 6.x is not affected. |
| Frappe Learning Management System (LMS) is a learning system that helps users structure their content. Prior to version 2.54.2, unpublished certificate records can be retrieved and viewed by users who should not have access, rather than being limited to the certificate owner and authorized staff. This can expose certificate details belonging to other users. Access to published certificates by their identifier is intentional for third-party verification and is not affected. The issue does not allow modifying data or gaining elevated privileges. This issue is fixed in version 2.54.2. |
| Adobe Experience Manager is affected by an Incorrect Authorization vulnerability that could result in arbitrary code execution in the context of the current user, potentially gaining elevated access or control over the victim's account or session. Exploitation of this issue does not require user interaction. Scope is changed. |
| Kirki plugin for WordPress before 6.4.1 contains a broken object-level access control vulnerability in its page REST API, where the PUT /wp-json/kirki/v1/pages/{page_id} route and the save_page_data, duplicate, and delete handlers in PageController.php rely only on a coarse role-to-access middleware check without performing a per-object WordPress capability check. A user with Kirki edit access, granted to the Editor role by default, can exploit this flaw to modify the title, slug, and publication status of any non-trashed post of any post type, including custom post types and WooCommerce products they do not own, exposing private or draft content or removing published content by manipulating the unrestricted post_status field. |
| SQLite before 3.54.0 contains a use-after-free vulnerability in the R-Tree extension that allows attackers to make applications use freed heap memory by manipulating the %_node shadow table. Attackers can supply a database declaring %_node WITHOUT ROWID or with a RAISE(IGNORE) trigger so nodeWrite() hashes nodes as 0, crashing the process after node splits. |

| An OS command injection vulnerability in Progress Software WS_FTP Server versions prior to 2024.0.7 and 2025.0.4 on Windows could allow arbitrary command execution with elevated privileges under certain configurations. |
| Missing authorization in the administrative interface of Progress Software WS_FTP Server versions prior to 2024.0.7 and 2025.0.4 on Windows could allow a delegated Host Administrator to exceed their authorized scope, potentially enabling arbitrary command execution with elevated privileges and complete compromise of the underlying server. |

| Sensitive information disclosure and manipulation due to improper authorization checks. The following products are affected: Acronis Cyber Infrastructure (ACI) before build 6.0.1-112, Acronis Cyber Infrastructure (ACI) before build 6.1.1-64, Acronis Cyber Infrastructure (ACI) before build 6.2.1-71. |
| Dell PowerProtect Data Domain, Feature Release versions 7.7.1.0 through 8.8, LTS2024 release versions 7.13.1.0 through 7.13.1.80, LTS2025 release versions 8.3.1.0 through 8.3.1.40, LTS2026 release versions 8.6.1.0 through 8.6.1.20, contain an Improper Authentication vulnerability. An unauthenticated attacker with remote access could potentially exploit this vulnerability, leading to privileged account creation. This is a critical severity vulnerability as it allows an attacker to take complete control of the system. Dell recommends customers to upgrade at the earliest opportunity. |
| OpenReception's appointment booking software provides an end-to-end encrypted appointment booking platform. In versions 2.1.0 and prior, an unauthenticated attacker can store an arbitrary ML-KEM-768 public key under any existing user's identity in any tenant's staff-crypto recipient directory. The product's design guarantees that appointment data is end-to-end encrypted to staff members and that the staff recipient directory is not attacker-writable, so that even administrators and the operator cannot read patient data. This endpoint breaks that guarantee for an unauthenticated remote actor: it allows writing an arbitrary encryption recipient into the recipient directory of any tenant. The injected key receives the tunnel key of every appointment booked afterward in that tenant, because booking clients encrypt to all active staff keys. The attacker holds the corresponding secret key and is a persistent, unauthorized recipient of that key material. At time of publication, there are no publicly available patches. |

| odhcpd is the DHCPv6, DHCPv4, and router-advertisement server used by OpenWrt. Prior to version 25.12, odhcpd's DHCPv6 IA handler keeps a per-message `first` lease pointer so multiple IA options in one message reuse the same Reconfigure authentication key. A DHCPv6 REQUEST from an adjacent-network client can make the first IA set `first`, then make a later same-IAID IA fail the on-link check and free that same lease, leaving `first` dangling. A following IA in the same packet allocates a new lease and copies `first->key`, producing a 16-byte heap-use-after-free read. ASan confirms the UAF; native tracing shows the packet shape can deterministically reclaim the freed lease as the destination allocation, producing a zeroed Reconfigure key copy. The validated impact is unauthenticated adjacent-network denial of service and DHCPv6 Reconfigure/ForceRenew key confusion. Arbitrary PC control is not proven for this UAF alone. This issue has been patched in version 25.12. |
| An invalid pointer dereference vulnerability exists in the vtkPNGReader::vtkPNGReaderUpdate2 functionality of vtk 9.6. A specially crafted .png file can lead to a denial of service. An attacker can provide a malicious file to trigger this vulnerability. |
