Buffer overflow in the kvm_vcpu_ioctl_x86_setup_mce function in arch/x86/kvm/x86.c in the KVM subsystem in the Linux kernel before 2.6.32-rc7 allows local users to cause a denial of service (memory corruption) or possibly gain privileges via a KVM_X86_SETUP_MCE IOCTL request that specifies a large number of Machine Check Exception (MCE) banks.
CVE-2009-4005 2 Linux, Redhat 2 Linux Kernel, Enterprise Linux 2026-04-23 N/A
The collect_rx_frame function in drivers/isdn/hisax/hfc_usb.c in the Linux kernel before 2.6.32-rc7 allows attackers to have an unspecified impact via a crafted HDLC packet that arrives over ISDN and triggers a buffer under-read.
CVE-2009-4031 2 Linux, Redhat 3 Linux Kernel, Enterprise Linux, Rhel Virtualization 2026-04-23 N/A
The do_insn_fetch function in arch/x86/kvm/emulate.c in the x86 emulator in the KVM subsystem in the Linux kernel before 2.6.32-rc8-next-20091125 tries to interpret instructions that contain too many bytes to be valid, which allows guest OS users to cause a denial of service (increased scheduling latency) on the host OS via unspecified manipulations related to SMP support.
CVE-2009-4138 2 Linux, Redhat 3 Linux Kernel, Enterprise Linux, Enterprise Mrg 2026-04-23 N/A
drivers/firewire/ohci.c in the Linux kernel before 2.6.32-git9, when packet-per-buffer mode is used, allows local users to cause a denial of service (NULL pointer dereference and system crash) or possibly have unknown other impact via an unspecified ioctl associated with receiving an ISO packet that contains zero in the payload-length field.
CVE-2009-4306 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-04-23 N/A
Unspecified vulnerability in the EXT4_IOC_MOVE_EXT (aka move extents) ioctl implementation in the ext4 filesystem in the Linux kernel 2.6.32-git6 and earlier allows local users to cause a denial of service (filesystem corruption) via unknown vectors, a different vulnerability than CVE-2009-4131.
CVE-2009-4307 2 Linux, Redhat 3 Linux Kernel, Enterprise Linux, Rhel Eus 2026-04-23 N/A
The ext4_fill_flex_info function in fs/ext4/super.c in the Linux kernel before 2.6.32-git6 allows user-assisted remote attackers to cause a denial of service (divide-by-zero error and panic) via a malformed ext4 filesystem containing a super block with a large FLEX_BG group size (aka s_log_groups_per_flex value).

CVE-2026-27456 2 Kernel, Linux 2 Util-linux, Util-linux 2026-04-22 4.7 Medium
util-linux is a random collection of Linux utilities. Prior to version 2.41.4, a TOCTOU (Time-of-Check-Time-of-Use) vulnerability has been identified in the SUID binary /usr/bin/mount from util-linux. The mount binary, when setting up loop devices, validates the source file path with user privileges via fork() + setuid() + realpath(), but subsequently re-canonicalizes and opens it with root privileges (euid=0) without verifying that the path has not been replaced between both operations. Neither O_NOFOLLOW, nor inode comparison, nor post-open fstat() are employed. This allows a local unprivileged user to replace the source file with a symlink pointing to any root-owned file or device during the race window, causing the SUID binary to open and mount it as root. Exploitation requires an /etc/fstab entry with user,loop options whose path points to a directory where the attacker has write permission, and that /usr/bin/mount has the SUID bit set (the default configuration on virtually all Linux distributions). The impact is unauthorized read access to root-protected files and block devices, including backup images, disk volumes, and any file containing a valid filesystem. This issue has been patched in version 2.41.4.
CVE-2013-2094 2 Linux, Redhat 4 Linux Kernel, Enterprise Linux, Enterprise Mrg and 1 more 2026-04-22 8.4 High
The perf_swevent_init function in kernel/events/core.c in the Linux kernel before 3.8.9 uses an incorrect integer data type, which allows local users to gain privileges via a crafted perf_event_open system call.
CVE-2013-6282 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-04-22 8.8 High
The (1) get_user and (2) put_user API functions in the Linux kernel before 3.5.5 on the v6k and v7 ARM platforms do not validate certain addresses, which allows attackers to read or modify the contents of arbitrary kernel memory locations via a crafted application, as exploited in the wild against Android devices in October and November 2013.
CVE-2026-22986 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-04-22 4.7 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: gpiolib: fix race condition for gdev->srcu If two drivers were calling gpiochip_add_data_with_key(), one may be traversing the srcu-protected list in gpio_name_to_desc(), meanwhile other has just added its gdev in gpiodev_add_to_list_unlocked(). This creates a non-mutexed and non-protected timeframe, when one instance is dereferencing and using &gdev->srcu, before the other has initialized it, resulting in crash: [ 4.935481] Unable to handle kernel paging request at virtual address ffff800272bcc000 [ 4.943396] Mem abort info: [ 4.943400] ESR = 0x0000000096000005 [ 4.943403] EC = 0x25: DABT (current EL), IL = 32 bits [ 4.943407] SET = 0, FnV = 0 [ 4.943410] EA = 0, S1PTW = 0 [ 4.943413] FSC = 0x05: level 1 translation fault [ 4.943416] Data abort info: [ 4.943418] ISV = 0, ISS = 0x00000005, ISS2 = 0x00000000 [ 4.946220] CM = 0, WnR = 0, TnD = 0, TagAccess = 0 [ 4.955261] GCS = 0, Overlay = 0, DirtyBit = 0, Xs = 0 [ 4.955268] swapper pgtable: 4k pages, 48-bit VAs, pgdp=0000000038e6c000 [ 4.961449] [ffff800272bcc000] pgd=0000000000000000 [ 4.969203] , p4d=1000000039739003 [ 4.979730] , pud=0000000000000000 [ 4.980210] phandle (CPU): 0x0000005e, phandle (BE): 0x5e000000 for node "reset" [ 4.991736] Internal error: Oops: 0000000096000005 [#1] PREEMPT SMP ...
