| Internal Application Information Exposure Vulnerability in Hitachi Ops Center Administrator.
This issue affects Hitachi Ops Center Administrator: before 11.0.9-01. |
| JeeWMS before commit 0a610e8 contains an unauthenticated path traversal vulnerability that allows remote attackers to read arbitrary files via the dbPath parameter. Attackers can send GET requests to /systemController/showOrDownByurl.do with ../ sequences in dbPath, which bypasses AuthInterceptor, to retrieve files like win.ini. Exploitation evidence was first observed by the Shadowserver Foundation on 2023-10-17. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
KVM: arm64: Correctly cap ZCR_EL2 provided by a guest hypervisor
ZCR_EL2 can be updated by a VHE guest hypervisor either using ZCR_EL2
(which traps) or ZCR_EL1 (which does not trap). KVM handles both in
different way:
- on ZCR_EL2 trap, ZCR_EL2.LEN is immediately capped at the VM's own
VL limit. This has the potential to break existing SW that relies
on the full LEN field to be stateful.
- on ZCR_EL1 access, we do absolutely nothing.
On restoring the SVE context for an L2 guest, we directly restore the
guest hypervisor's view of ZCR_EL2 into the physical ZCR_EL2. If the
guest's view of the register was updated using the ZCR_EL2 accessor,
the value has already been sanitised (with the caveat mentioned above).
But if the guest used ZCR_EL1, the raw value is written into the HW,
and the L2 guest can now access VLs that it shouldn't.
Fix all the above by moving the VL capping to the restore points,
ensuring that:
- the HW is always programmed with a capped value, irrespective of
the accessor being used,
- the ZCR_EL2.LEN field is always completely stateful, irrespective
of the accessor being used.
Additionally, move ZCR_EL2 to be a sanitised register, ensuring that
only the LEN field is actually stateful. This requires some creative
construction of the RES0 mask, as the sysreg generation script does
not yet generate RAZ/WI fields.

| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
scsi: mpi3mr: Fix NULL pointer dereference in mpi3mr_sas_port_add()
sas_port_alloc_num() can return NULL on memory allocation failure. The
return value is passed directly to sas_port_add() without a NULL check,
which causes a NULL pointer dereference.
Additionally, if sas_port_add() fails, the allocated port is not freed
before jumping to out_fail, leaking the sas_port structure. Call
sas_port_free() to properly release it. |
| FooSun DotNetCMS 1.0 and 2.0 contains an SQL injection vulnerability that allows unauthenticated attackers to manipulate MSSQL queries through the CityId parameter. Attackers can send GET requests to /user/City_ajax.aspx with UNION SELECT payloads in CityId, concatenated unsanitized into the sys_City query, to extract database information. Exploitation evidence was first observed by the Shadowserver Foundation on 2023-10-14. |
| Integer underflow and out-of-bounds read in the HTTP/2 server DATA frame parser in Apache bRPC allows an unauthenticated remote attacker to cause denial of service by sending a malformed DATA frame with the PADDED flag set and a zero-length payload.
Root Cause:
The HTTP/2 DATA frame handler computed the fragment size from the attacker-controlled payload length and, when the PADDED flag was present, decremented the fragment size before ensuring that the frame contained the mandatory pad length byte. A zero-length padded DATA frame could therefore underflow the unsigned fragment size and read the pad length byte past the end of the frame buffer.
Affected Scenarios:
Apache bRPC servers that accept HTTP/2 traffic are affected when a remote client can send crafted HTTP/2 frames to the server. HTTP/2 may be reached through cleartext h2c detection on an HTTP port or through TLS ALPN negotiation.
How to Fix:
(Choose one of the following options)
1. Upgrade Apache bRPC to version 1.18.0, which fixes this issue.
2. Apply this patch: https://github.com/apache/brpc/pull/3325
Note:
The fix validates that a padded DATA frame has enough payload bytes for the pad length field before decrementing the fragment size or reading the pad length byte. Malformed zero-length padded DATA frames are rejected with HTTP/2 FRAME_SIZE_ERROR. |
| Uncontrolled recursion in the mcpack2pb component in Apache bRPC (version < 1.18.0) on all platforms allows remote attackers to make the server crash via sending deeply nested mcpack data.
Root Cause:
The bRPC mcpack2pb parser (used to serve nshead_mcpack / ubrpc / public_pbrpc requests) recursively parses nested objects and arrays without any depth limit. For a protobuf message that references itself (e.g. a repeated message field), the generated parser recurses once per nesting level of the incoming mcpack object. A deeply nested request makes the recursion grow unbounded, overflow the stack and crash the process.
Affected Scenarios:
Use bRPC server with a recursive-schema protobuf message to serve nshead_mcpack / ubrpc / public_pbrpc requests from untrusted network.
How to Fix:
(Choose one of the following options)
1. Upgrade bRPC to version 1.18.0, which fixes this issue.
2. Apply this patch: https://github.com/apache/brpc/pull/3499
Note:
No matter which option you choose, you should know that the fix enforces the documented parsing depth limit MAX_DEPTH (128) on the parse path, the same limit the serializer already applies. If your requests contain mcpack messages nested deeper than 128 levels, the request will be failed after applying the fix. |
| Use-after-free in the RTMP protocol implementation in Apache bRPC (version < 1.18.0) on all platforms allows a malicious RTMP peer to crash the process or potentially corrupt memory via a crafted Abort message.
Root Cause:
When processing an RTMP Abort (protocol control message type 2), the RTMP policy implementation deleted the target RtmpChunkStream object. The send path (RtmpUnsentMessage::AppendAndDestroySelf -> RtmpChunkStream::SerializeMessage) runs concurrently on sender threads and dereferences the same RtmpChunkStream object without synchronization. If a remote peer sends an Abort message naming a chunk stream that is concurrently being used to serialize an outgoing message, the stream object is freed while still in use, resulting in a use-after-free. Additionally, deleting the chunk stream discarded its previous message header, so subsequent compressed (type-3) chunk headers on that stream could no longer be decoded.
Affected Scenarios:
Any application using the bRPC RTMP protocol implementation (rtmp policy), either as an RTMP server or as an RTMP client, where the remote endpoint is untrusted. The attacker needs to send an Abort message targeting a chunk stream id that is concurrently used for sending, which can crash the process or lead to memory corruption.
How to Fix:
(Choose one of the following options)
1. Upgrade bRPC to version 1.18.0, which fixes this issue.
2. Apply this patch: https://github.com/apache/brpc/pull/3515 |
| PHPOffice PHPPresentation 1.2.0 contains a cross-site scripting vulnerability in the HTML writer that allows attackers who supply presentation content to inject script into generated HTML. Attackers can craft a PPTX with malicious text runs, hyperlink relationship targets, or shape descr attributes that are emitted unescaped, executing script in viewers' browsers. |
| Multiple Cisco products are affected by a vulnerability in the Snort 3 Generic Routing Encapsulation (GRE) Detection Engine that could allow an unauthenticated, remote attacker to cause the Snort 3 Detection Engine to restart, resulting in an interruption of packet inspection.
This vulnerability is due to incomplete error checking when Snort 3 parses GRE packets. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability by sending a crafted GRE packet to a targeted device to be parsed by Snort. A successful exploit could allow the attacker to cause the Snort 3 Detection Engine to restart unexpectedly, resulting in a DoS condition. |

| A vulnerability in the control channel socket implementation of Open Source Snort 3 could allow an authenticated, local attacker with low privileges to execute arbitrary commands as the Snort 3 process user.
This vulnerability is due to a lack of authentication when a local user connects to the Snort control channel socket. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability by connecting to the Snort 3 control channel socket as a local user. A successful exploit could allow the attacker to execute arbitrary commands as well as read and write Snort 3 process memory. |
