| Frappe HR is an open-source human resources management solution (HRMS). Prior to 16.7.0, an authenticated user with the HR User role can inject SQL through filters in the Salary Payments Based on Payment Mode report. In hrms/payroll/report/salary_payments_based_on_payment_mode/salary_payments_based_on_payment_mode.py, get_conditions constructs filter clauses from user-controlled values and get_data incorporates those clauses into a string-formatted SQL query, allowing extraction of arbitrary database data. This issue is fixed in 16.7.0. |
| The WP Directory Kit plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to blind SQL Injection via the 'order_by' parameter in all versions up to, and including, 1.5.4 due to insufficient escaping on the user supplied parameter and lack of sufficient preparation on the existing SQL query. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with custom-level access and above, to append additional SQL queries into already existing queries that can be used to extract sensitive information from the database. |

This vulnerability is due to insufficient validation of user-supplied input to the affected APIs before it is used to build database queries. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability by sending a crafted request to an affected device. A successful exploit could allow the attacker to execute arbitrary SQL or HQL queries against the underlying database, which could allow the attacker to view or modify data that they are not authorized to access.
