| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
net: qualcomm: rmnet: restore skb->dev on deaggregated frames
rmnet_map_deaggregate() allocates each sub-frame with alloc_skb() and
leaves skb->dev NULL. __rmnet_map_ingress_handler() assigns
skb->dev = ep->egress_dev only on the data path, but a MAP command frame
is dispatched to rmnet_map_command() before that, so rmnet_map_send_ack()
runs netif_tx_lock(skb->dev) on a NULL device. An unprivileged user
reaches this by unsharing a user+net namespace, creating an rmnet link
over a tap device with INGRESS_DEAGGREGATION and INGRESS_MAP_COMMANDS,
and writing an aggregated frame carrying a flow-control command to the
tap fd.
Restore the assignment dropped by 378e25357ac7, so every skb leaving
rmnet_map_deaggregate() has a valid device.

| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
SUNRPC: check rpc_sockaddr2uaddr() return value in rpcb_register_inet4/6
rpcb_register_inet4() and rpcb_register_inet6() store the result of
rpc_sockaddr2uaddr() into map->r_addr without checking it for NULL.
rpc_sockaddr2uaddr() returns NULL when its final kstrdup() fails, and
the unchecked NULL is then carried into the synchronous RPCBPROC_SET
encode path: rpcb_register_call() -> rpc_call_sync() ->
rpcb_enc_getaddr() -> encode_rpcb_string(), whose first statement is
strlen(string), dereferencing NULL and oopsing the kernel.
The crash reproduces under failslab on v6.12; with KASAN the NULL
dereference surfaces as a fault on the shadow of address zero:

The crash is reachable when an in-kernel RPC service (nfsd, lockd,
nfs-callback) registers with the local rpcbind under enough memory
pressure for the small GFP_KERNEL kstrdup() in rpc_sockaddr2uaddr() to
fail. The asynchronous getport path already handles this exact failure
mode by returning -ENOMEM; only the two register helpers omit the check.
Mirror that handling: bail out with -ENOMEM when rpc_sockaddr2uaddr()
returns NULL, before the address is fed into the encoder. |

| The Cordova plugin cordova-plugin-x-socialsharing (SocialSharing-PhoneGap-Plugin) for Android 6.0.4, registers an exported broadcast receiver nl.xservices.plugins.ShareChooserPendingIntent with an android.intent.action.SEND intent filter. The onReceive implementation accesses Intent.EXTRA_CHOSEN_COMPONENT without checking for null. If a broadcast is sent with extras present but without EXTRA_CHOSEN_COMPONENT, the code dereferences a null value and throws a NullPointerException. Because the receiver is exported and performs no permission or caller validation, any local application on the device can send crafted ACTION_SEND broadcasts to this component and repeatedly crash the host application, resulting in a local, unauthenticated application-level denial of service for any app that includes the plugin. |
| Wazuh is an open-source security platform providing unified XDR and SIEM protection for endpoints and cloud workloads. In versions 4.0.0 through 4.14.6, a malicious or man-in-the-middle enrollment manager can crash a Wazuh agent during enrollment by returning a malformed key response with fewer than four fields, causing a NULL pointer dereference. The w_enrollment_process_agent_key() routine splits the manager-provided key into four space-separated fields but does not verify that all fields are present before passing them to validators. Because OS_StrBreak() leaves missing trailing entries as NULL and OS_IsValidName() calls strlen() on its argument without a NULL check, a response such as OSSEC K:'1' reaches OS_IsValidName(NULL) and terminates the agent process. Since Wazuh permits enrollment against an unverified manager when no CA certificate is configured, an attacker operating a rogue manager or intercepting the enrollment flow can deterministically crash agents, resulting in denial of service. This issue is fixed in version 4.14.7. |

The FIELD_HANDLE macro itself is NULL-safe (emits null_handle) - only the two raw zeroing assignments added by 27118c40 ("encode: also disable LAYER.material") dereferenced a NULL material handle; the fix restores the file's existing if (_obj->style) guard convention for material. |

| A flaw was found in SSSD (System Security Services Daemon). A local attacker with privileges to connect to the PAM (Pluggable Authentication Modules) responder socket can send a specially crafted protocol request. If the `pam_app_services` configuration is enabled and the service item is omitted from the request, a NULL pointer dereference can occur. This vulnerability leads to a denial of service, causing the PAM responder to crash and disrupt authentication services. |
| resdata is software for reading and writing result files from the Eclipse reservoir simulator. Prior to 6.2.9, resdata insufficiently validates numeric fields, grid dimensions, keyword sizes, and array indexes while parsing untrusted GRDECL files in lib/resdata/rd_kw_grdecl.cpp and lib/resdata/rd_grid.cpp. Malformed COORD, ZCORN, CORSNUM, ACTNUM, or MAPAXES data can reach rd_grid_alloc_GRDECL_kw__ with inconsistent lengths, while unbounded floating-point conversion can exceed the intended parser buffer. In a network service that accepts untrusted GRDECL files, these conditions can cause a classic buffer overflow, out-of-bounds reads, invalid array access, NULL pointer dereference, memory corruption, or service termination. This issue is fixed in version 6.2.9. |
