CVSS v3.1 |
| A double free vulnerability has been identified in the ASUS System Analysis service. This vulnerability can be triggered by sending specially crafted local RPC requests, leading to the service crash and potentially memory manipulation in some rare circumstances.
Refer to the 'Security Update for MyASUS' section on the ASUS Security Advisory for more information. |
| Kitware VTK (Visualization Toolkit) 9.5.0 is vulnerable to Heap Use-After-Free in vtkGLTFImporter::ImportActors. When processing GLTF files with invalid scene node references, the application accesses string members of mesh objects that have been previously freed during actor import operations. |
| When DNSdist is configured to provide DoH via the nghttp2 provider, an attacker can cause a denial of service by crafting a DoH exchange that triggers an illegal memory access (double-free) and crash of DNSdist, causing a denial of service.
The remedy is: upgrade to the patched 1.9.9 version.
A workaround is to temporarily switch to the h2o provider until DNSdist has been upgraded to a fixed version.
We would like to thank Charles Howes for bringing this issue to our attention. |
| Poppler ia a library for rendering PDF files, and examining or modifying their structure. A use-after-free (write) vulnerability has been detected in versions Poppler prior to 25.10.0 within the StructTreeRoot class. The issue arises from the use of raw pointers to elements of a `std::vector`, which can lead to dangling pointers when the vector is resized. The vulnerability stems from the way that refToParentMap stores references to `std::vector` elements using raw pointers. These pointers may become invalid when the vector is resized. This vulnerability is a common security problem involving the use of raw pointers to `std::vectors`. Internally, `std::vector `stores its elements in a dynamically allocated array. When the array reaches its capacity and a new element is added, the vector reallocates a larger block of memory and moves all the existing elements to the new location. At this point if any pointers to elements are stored before a resize occurs, they become dangling pointers once the reallocation happens. Version 25.10.0 contains a patch for the issue. |
| An Improper Resource Locking vulnerability in the SDM component of B&R Automation Runtime versions before 6.3 and before Q4.93 may allow an unauthenticated network-based attacker to delete data causing denial of service conditions. |
| NVIDIA Display Driver for Windows contains a vulnerability where an attacker could trigger a use after free. A successful exploit of this vulnerability might lead to code execution, escalation of privileges, data tampering, denial of service, and information disclosure. |
| In X.Org X server 20.11 through 21.1.16, when a client application uses easystroke for mouse gestures, the main thread modifies various data structures used by the input thread without acquiring a lock, aka a race condition. In particular, AttachDevice in dix/devices.c does not acquire an input lock. |
| Memory corruptions can be remotely triggered in the Control-M/Agent when SSL/TLS communication is configured.
The issue occurs in the following cases:
* Control-M/Agent 9.0.20: SSL/TLS configuration is set to the non-default setting "use_openssl=n";
* Control-M/Agent 9.0.21 and 9.0.22: Agent router configuration uses the non-default settings "JAVA_AR=N" and "use_openssl=n" |
| Software installed and run as a non-privileged user may conduct improper GPU system calls to trigger use-after-free kernel exceptions. |
| A vulnerability was determined in appneta tcpreplay up to 4.5.2-beta2. The impacted element is the function untrunc_packet of the file src/tcpedit/edit_packet.c of the component tcprewrite. Executing manipulation can lead to use after free. It is possible to launch the attack on the local host. The exploit has been publicly disclosed and may be utilized. This patch is called 73008f261f1cdf7a1087dc8759115242696d35da. Applying a patch is advised to resolve this issue. |
| Use after free in some Intel(R) PROSet/Wireless WiFi and Killerâ„¢ WiFi software for Windows before version 23.80 may allow an unauthenticated user to potentially enable denial of service via adjacent access. |
| NanoMQ MQTT Broker (NanoMQ) is an all-around Edge Messaging Platform. Prior to version 0.22.5, a Heap-Use-After-Free (UAF) vulnerability exists in the TCP transport component of NanoMQ, which relies on the underlying NanoNNG library (specifically in src/sp/transport/mqtt/broker_tcp.c). The vulnerability is due to improper resource management and premature cleanup of message and pipe structures under specific malformed MQTTV5 retain message traffic conditions. This issue has been patched in version 0.22.5. |
| AUTOMGEN versions up to and including 8.0.0.7 (also referenced as 8.022) contain a vulnerability in that project file handling frees an object and subsequently dereferences the stale pointer when processing certain malformed fields. The dangling-pointer use enables an attacker to influence an indirect call through attacker-controlled memory, resulting in denial-of-service. In some conditions, remote code execution may be possible. |
| The regcomp function in the GNU C library version from 2.4 to 2.41 is
subject to a double free if some previous allocation fails. It can be
accomplished either by a malloc failure or by using an interposed malloc
that injects random malloc failures. The double free can allow buffer
manipulation depending of how the regex is constructed. This issue
affects all architectures and ABIs supported by the GNU C library. |
| A vulnerability in the certificate processing of Cisco Secure Firewall Adaptive Security Appliance (ASA) Software and Cisco Secure Firewall Threat Defense (FTD) Software could allow an unauthenticated, remote attacker to cause the device to reload unexpectedly, resulting in a denial of service (DoS) condition.
This vulnerability is due to improper parsing of SSL/TLS certificates. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability by sending crafted DNS packets that match a static Network Address Translation (NAT) rule with DNS inspection enabled through an affected device. A successful exploit could allow the attacker to cause the device to reload, resulting in a DoS condition. |
| pycares is a Python module which provides an interface to c-ares. c-ares is a C library that performs DNS requests and name resolutions asynchronously. Prior to version 4.9.0, pycares is vulnerable to a use-after-free condition that occurs when a Channel object is garbage collected while DNS queries are still pending. This results in a fatal Python error and interpreter crash. The vulnerability has been fixed in pycares 4.9.0 by implementing a safe channel destruction mechanism. |
| Software installed and run as a non-privileged user may conduct improper GPU system calls to corrupt kernel heap memory. |
| Race condition, use-after-free in the Graphics: WebRender component. This vulnerability was fixed in Firefox 149, Firefox ESR 115.34, Firefox ESR 140.9, Thunderbird 149, and Thunderbird 140.9. |
| Sandbox escape due to use-after-free in the Disability Access APIs component. This vulnerability was fixed in Firefox 149, Firefox ESR 140.9, Thunderbird 149, and Thunderbird 140.9. |
| Use-after-free in the CSS Parsing and Computation component. This vulnerability was fixed in Firefox 149, Firefox ESR 115.34, Firefox ESR 140.9, Thunderbird 149, and Thunderbird 140.9. |
