CVE-2026-97996 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-09-26 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: virtio: fix use-after-free in unregister_virtio_device() device_unregister() is device_del() plus put_device(). When the caller holds no extra reference, that drops the last one and runs the release callback, which for several transports frees the memory the embedded struct virtio_device sits in. unregister_virtio_device() then calls virtio_debug_device_exit(), which reads dev->debugfs_dir out of the freed object. Affected transports are the ones whose release callback frees and whose remove path takes no reference: virtio_mmio, virtio_vdpa, virtio_uml, mlxbf-tmfifo and virtio_ccw. virtio_pci is unaffected because virtio_pci_remove() brackets the call with get_device() and put_device(). Remove the debugfs entries before the device can go away. They are only accessed through the protected debugfs interface, so debugfs_remove_recursive() waits for in-progress file operations before returning. Tearing them down while the device is still alive is therefore safe. Reproduced on User-Mode Linux with CONFIG_KASAN and CONFIG_VIRTIO_DEBUG by unbinding a virtio-uml device: BUG: KASAN: slab-use-after-free in virtio_debug_device_exit+0x36/0x4d Read of size 8 at addr 00000000616e0b10 by task init/1 __asan_report_load8_noabort virtio_debug_device_exit+0x36/0x4d unregister_virtio_device+0x48/0x75 virtio_uml_remove platform_remove device_release_driver_internal unbind_store Freed by task 1: kfree virtio_uml_release_dev device_release kobject_put put_device device_unregister With this applied, the report is gone and unbind is clean.
CVE-2026-98009 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-09-26 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net/sched: ets: clamp quantum in parse and fallback paths ets_qdisc_change() falls back to psched_mtu() with no floor for bands without an explicit quantum. With a crafted size table qdisc_pkt_len reaches ~2 GiB, so a zero psched_mtu on a headerless device makes the deficit-refill loop spin under the qdisc lock. Move the floor into ets_quantum_parse() so explicitly configured quanta are also clamped to [256, 1<<20], not just the fallback path. Conditions to recreate the bug: CONFIG_NET_SCH_ETS=y. Requires CAP_NET_ADMIN (namespace-local via unshare -Urn suffices). tc qdisc add dev dummy0 root ets bands 3 strict 2 quanta 1 1
CVE-2026-93806 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-09-26 8.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: wifi: cfg80211: validate assoc response length before status and IE access cfg80211_rx_assoc_resp() initialises the status and response-IE fields of cfg80211_connect_resp_params from the management frame before proving that the frame is long enough for those offsets. S1G and regular association responses also have different IE offsets, but the S1G path only patched resp_ie after the unsafe initialiser had already run. Defer resp_ie, resp_ie_len, and status to after the link-iteration loop. Use a bool to remember whether the frame is S1G, then validate the appropriate minimum length and set all three fields in a single if/else block. Funnel short-frame and SME-reject cleanup through a shared free_bss label for the abandon paths.
CVE-2026-93810 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-09-26 7 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: cachefiles: Fix double fput Fix a double fput() in error handling in cachefiles_create_tmpfile().
CVE-2026-98064 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-09-26 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: bpf: Fix NULL-ptr-deref when showing a void BTF type btf_modifier_show() resolves the modifier and then calls btf_type_ops(t)->show() unconditionally. For the void type (type_id 0, BTF_KIND_UNKN) kind_ops[] has no entry, so ->show is NULL. A "const void" (a modifier resolving to void) cannot be a map key or value - map_check_btf() rejects it because void has no size - so the map dump path does not reach it. But bpf_snprintf_btf() takes a type_id straight from the BPF program, and passing such a "const void" from the vmlinux BTF NULL-derefs: KASAN: null-ptr-deref in range [0x0000000000000028-0x000000000000002f] RIP: 0010:btf_modifier_show (kernel/bpf/btf.c:2914) Call Trace: <TASK> btf_type_show (kernel/bpf/btf.c:8251) btf_type_snprintf_show (kernel/bpf/btf.c:8321) bpf_snprintf_btf (kernel/trace/bpf_trace.c:1047) bpf_prog_test_run_raw_tp (net/bpf/test_run.c:829) __sys_bpf (kernel/bpf/syscall.c:4804) do_syscall_64 (arch/x86/entry/syscall_64.c:94) entry_SYSCALL_64_after_hwframe (arch/x86/entry/entry_64.S:121) </TASK> Fall back to btf_df_show() when the resolved type has no show op; it emits the "<unsupported kind:N>" placeholder already used for kinds like FWD and FUNC. bpf_snprintf_btf() then returns the length as usual.
CVE-2026-98075 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-09-26 7.0 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: bpf: reject BPF_PSEUDO_FUNC reference to the main program fixups.c:jit_subprogs() rewrites BPF_PSEUDO_FUNC loads to contain real function addresses. This function is invoked from bpf_jit_subprogs() only when env->subprog_cnt > 1. Meaning that for any program like below: int main(void *ctx) { void *ptr = main; ... bpf_timer_set_callback(..., ptr); ... } The 'ptr' won't be ever converted to contain an address. In combination with e.g. bpf_timer_set_callback() this would lead to a function call at a bogus address. Instead of complicating the implementation, just assume that no useful program needs main to be a sync or async callback and reject BPF_PSEUDO_FUNC loads for the main subprogram.
CVE-2026-93206 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-09-26 N/A
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: PCI/proc: Use file_ns_capable() when checking config space read access proc_bus_pci_read() decides how much of the config space is readable based on capable(CAP_SYS_ADMIN), which checks the credentials of the task calling read(), not the credentials of the process that opened the file. The sysfs equivalent, pci_read_config(), has checked the credentials of the opening process since commit de139a339395 ("pci: check caps from sysfs file open to read device dependent config space"), so a privileged process can open the config space file and pass the file descriptor to an unprivileged process (for example, a process running a KVM guest with an assigned device), which can then read the entire config space. The check was subsequently routed through the LSM framework in commit 47970b1b2aa6 ("pci: use security_capable() when checking capablities during config space read") and converted to the dedicated helper in commit ab0fa82b2df9 ("pci-sysfs: use proper file capability helper function"). Thus, the two interfaces check the same capability against different credentials. Checking the credentials of the task calling read() makes the outcome depend on who reads rather than who opened, so the restriction is bypassed whenever a more privileged process reads through the descriptor. Checking the credentials recorded in file->f_cred settles the decision at open() time and ties it to the file, where it cannot change with the caller. Use file_ns_capable() to check CAP_SYS_ADMIN against the credentials in effect when the file was opened, bringing the procfs interface in line with the sysfs behaviour. As a result, a file descriptor opened by a privileged process and passed to an unprivileged one now allows the entire config space to be read through procfs, matching sysfs.
CVE-2026-93225 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-09-26 7.4 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: phy: fsl-imx8mq-usb: fix typec switch leak on probe error path If probe fails after imx95_usb_phy_get_tca() succeeds, the typec switch leaks because the only cleanup path was in .remove(), which never runs on probe failure. Use devm_add_action_or_reset() so the switch is cleaned up on both probe failure and driver removal. The imx95_usb_phy_put_tca() is no longer needed, it will be removed in .remove() too.
CVE-2026-97450 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-09-26 8.4 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ACPICA: validate handler object type in two places ACPICA: validate handler object type in acpi_ev_has_default_handler() and acpi_ev_find_region_handler().
CVE-2026-97580 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-09-26 7.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: media: rkvdec: bound HEVC tile loops and PPS id to the array capacity compute_tiles_uniform() and compute_tiles_non_uniform() loop over num_tile_columns_minus1 + 1 / num_tile_rows_minus1 + 1 entries, and assemble_hw_pps() writes one COLUMN_WIDTH / ROW_HEIGHT register per tile and indexes priv_tbl->param_set[] by pic_parameter_set_id, all taken from the untrusted PPS. Use the bounded v4l2_hevc_pps_num_tile_columns() / v4l2_hevc_pps_num_tile_rows() helpers for the tile loops, and bail out of assemble_hw_pps() before indexing priv_tbl->param_set[] with an out-of-range pic_parameter_set_id, so the writes stay within the hardware tables.
CVE-2026-97947 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-09-26 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: x86/amd_node: Fix potential NULL pointer dereference amd_smn_read/write() are exported functions around __amd_smn_rw(), so they are always available even if amd_smn_init() fails. In that case, 'amd_roots' is NULL and __amd_smn_rw() will access uninitialized memory. Then, commit: 83518453074d ("x86/amd_node: Add SMN offsets to exclusive region access") added the 'smn_exclusive' flag, which indicated the calls to pci_request_config_region_exclusive() succeeded, to prevent concurrent userspace access. Commit: 0a4b61d9c2e4 ("x86/amd_node: Fix AMD root device caching") re-ordered initialization so pci_request_config_region_exclusive() is called earlier and a failure exits amd_smn_init() before allocating 'amd_roots'. The setting of 'smn_exclusive' moved to the end of amd_smn_init(), after 'amd_roots' is allocated. It became redundant and can be removed. Replace 'smn_exclusive' with directly checking 'amd_roots', to fix a potential NULL pointer dereference and to simplify the logic. CVE-2026-97987 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-09-26 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: virtio_input: reset device if input_register_device() fails Probe marks the device DRIVER_OK with virtio_device_ready() before calling input_register_device(). If registration fails, the error path cleared vi->ready and called del_vqs() while the device was still live, so the device could keep DMA to queues that were already torn down. Match remove/freeze: call virtio_reset_device() on that path before tearing down the virtqueues.
CVE-2026-100596 1 Openclaw 1 Openclaw 2026-09-26 8.8 High
OpenClaw versions before 2026.7.1 fail to properly authorize non-owner users executing MCP configuration changes through /mcp set and /mcp unset commands. Attackers can persist arbitrary stdio MCP commands that execute with OpenClaw process privileges when configuration loads, compromising host confidentiality, integrity, and availability.
CVE-2026-100592 1 Openclaw 1 Openclaw 2026-09-26 6.3 Medium
OpenClaw is an agent gateway distributed via npm. In versions >= 2026.4.10 and < 2026.7.1, persistent memory dreaming mutations omit owner permission checks. An authorized but non-owner external-channel sender can issue the persistent '/dreaming on' and '/dreaming off' commands to enable or disable the Gateway's Memory Core dreaming behavior, disabling background memory processing or re-enabling durable memory promotion where the owner expected it to remain disabled; the practical confidentiality, integrity, and availability impact depends on stored conversation material and subsequent memory use. Read-only status and help commands remain governed by normal command policy. The issue is fixed in version 2026.7.1. As a workaround, disable dreaming commands in external channels or restrict channel command access to owners.
CVE-2026-100588 1 Openclaw 1 Openclaw 2026-09-26 8.3 High
OpenClaw (npm package 'openclaw') before 2026.7.1 does not enforce the administrator scope requirement on browser control when it is reached through the node.invoke method, although direct browser.request access requires administrator scope. In Gateway deployments that honor caller identity and narrower operator scopes, a write-scoped caller with access to a connected browser-capable node can inspect pages, navigate tabs, or interact with browser-visible applications without the configured admin requirement; practical impact depends on the browser profile and signed-in state. Shared-secret token and password callers are considered fully trusted operators under OpenClaw's security model and are not affected. The issue is fixed in 2026.7.1.
CVE-2026-100584 1 Openclaw 1 Openclaw 2026-09-26 6.7 Medium
OpenClaw is an npm-distributed agent runtime. In versions >= 2026.2.26 and < 2026.7.1, PowerShell command analysis on Windows hosts running in exec allowlist mode could approve an exact executable resolved from PATH but subsequently execute a same-named executable located in the workspace directory. If lower-trust content can place an executable with an approved basename into an agent-writable workspace and steer an approved PowerShell command that uses a bare executable name, OpenClaw may run the workspace file instead of the allowlisted path, executing arbitrary code with the privileges of the Gateway or node-host user. The issue does not require replacement of the approved executable itself. Version 2026.7.1 contains a fix; as a workaround, avoid bare executable names in approved PowerShell commands and keep executable files out of agent-writable workspaces.
CVE-2026-100580 1 Openclaw 1 Openclaw 2026-09-26 8.8 High
OpenClaw (npm package 'openclaw') before 2026.7.1 improperly handles case sensitivity in the model-facing cron tool: a mixed-case payload kind can pass the agent-facing shell-execution guard and later normalize into a command job. An actor able to steer a tool-enabled agent can therefore create a persistent cron job that executes attacker-selected commands with the privileges of the OpenClaw process user, resulting in access to host files and credentials and impact to scheduled service availability. The issue is limited to cron jobs created or edited through the model-facing cron tool; direct CLI and authorized Gateway scheduling surfaces are trusted operator controls. Fixed in 2026.7.1.
CVE-2026-100576 1 Openclaw 1 Openclaw 2026-09-26 5.4 Medium
OpenClaw versions before 2026.8.1 contain a server-side request forgery vulnerability in browser wait predicates that allows attackers to bypass SSRF protections by reaching blocked destinations. Attackers can use the wait --fn function against an existing browser session to request loopback or private destinations without navigation checks applied to other browser actions.
CVE-2026-100572 1 Openclaw 1 Openclaw 2026-09-26 5.3 Medium
OpenClaw versions >= 2026.3.25 and < 2026.8.1 apply invalid-token rate limiting for Synology Chat webhooks before authentication and key the limit on the raw proxy socket address. In deployments where OpenClaw sits behind a trusted reverse proxy or tunnel and multiple external clients share a single socket address, an unauthenticated sender can exhaust the shared invalid-token budget, causing subsequent legitimate Synology Chat webhook callbacks to be rejected until the rate-limit window expires. The attacker cannot obtain a valid token or read message data; the impact is temporary loss of channel availability. Fixed in 2026.8.1.
CVE-2026-100568 1 Openclaw 1 Openclaw 2026-09-26 8.3 High
OpenClaw versions before 2026.8.1 fail to properly restrict access to operator command cron jobs, allowing model-visible agent callers to read and execute ownerless command jobs. Attackers can inspect stored environment variables and force-run disabled or unscheduled command jobs to access secrets and execute operator-authored commands.
