CVE-2026-71616 1 Gpac 1 Gpac 2026-09-14 6.2 Medium
An issue in GPAC c2dee3aff638cd96f9617ac5b17dc2868cd90ef3 allows an attacker to cause a denial of service via the function gf_route_media_complete_object(). Fixed in 3c4e6c5b3e0c6fa9b16d55599701a08354538fab.
CVE-2026-53937 1 Modelcontextprotocol 4 Io.modelcontextprotocol:kotlin-sdk, Io.modelcontextprotocol:kotlin-sdk-client, Io.modelcontextprotocol:kotlin-sdk-core and 1 more 2026-09-14 6.2 Medium
MCP Kotlin SDK is the Kotlin Multiplatform software development kit for the Model Context Protocol. In versions 0.7.0 through 0.12.0, `ReadBuffer.append` in `kotlin-sdk-core/src/commonMain/kotlin/io/modelcontextprotocol/kotlin/sdk/shared/ReadBuffer.kt` writes every chunk of bytes received from the stdio transport into a `kotlinx.io.Buffer` with no size cap. Frames are extracted from that buffer only when a `\n` (0x0a) byte is observed. A peer that streams bytes without ever sending a newline causes the internal buffer to grow indefinitely until the JVM (or the surrounding host process) is OOM-killed. The leak is amplified by `StdioServerTransport` and `StdioClientTransport`, which both queue raw chunks through a `kotlinx.coroutines.channels.Channel<ByteArray>(Channel.UNLIMITED)` and then call `readBuffer.append(chunk)` without backpressure or size guard. This is a remote-pre-auth denial of service whenever an SDK stdio server's stdin is fed by an untrusted or attacker-controlled producer (for example: a host program that exec's the MCP server as a subprocess and pipes through bytes received from a network peer, or a sidecar wrapper that proxies bytes from an HTTP endpoint to the stdio transport). Version 0.13.0 fixes the issue.
CVE-2026-64336 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-09-14 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: USB: serial: keyspan_pda: fix information leak The write() callback is supposed to return the number of characters accepted or a negative errno. Since the addition of write fifo support the keyspan_pda implementation will however return the number characters submitted to the device if the write urb is not already in use. If this number is larger than the number of characters passed to write(), the line discipline continues writing data from beyond the tty write buffer. Fix the information leak by making sure that keyspan_pda_write_start() returns zero on success as intended.

CVE-2026-15892 1 Zephyrproject 1 Zephyr 2026-09-14 5.3 Medium
The mcumgr SMP settings-management group handlers settings_mgmt_read(), settings_mgmt_write(), and settings_mgmt_delete() in subsys/mgmt/mcumgr/grp/settings_mgmt/src/settings_mgmt.c allocate a key_name buffer (and, for read, a data buffer) via k_malloc() when CONFIG_MCUMGR_GRP_SETTINGS_BUFFER_TYPE_HEAP is enabled, relying on the end: label to k_free() them. When CONFIG_MCUMGR_GRP_SETTINGS_ACCESS_HOOK is also enabled and the application access hook rejects a request by returning status MGMT_CB_ERROR_RC, the handler executed return ret_rc; directly, bypassing end: and leaking the heap allocation on every rejected request. The settings handlers are reachable over the unauthenticated SMP transport (Bluetooth LE, UART, or UDP, depending on product configuration). The access hook is the mechanism applications use to deny unauthorized settings access, and MGMT_CB_ERROR_RC is a common rejection style, so an attacker who can send settings read/write/delete commands that the hook rejects triggers a heap leak on each attempt. Because the leaked memory is never reclaimed until reboot, a sustained stream of rejected requests monotonically exhausts the kernel heap until k_malloc() fails, denying mcumgr service and impacting any other heap consumer on the device — a denial of service. The impact is availability-only; there is no memory corruption or information disclosure. Only configurations that select the heap buffer type, enable the access hook, and register a hook that returns MGMT_CB_ERROR_RC are affected (the default stack buffer type cannot leak).
CVE-2026-15814 1 Mattermost 1 Mattermost 2026-09-14 6.5 Medium
Mattermost versions 11.9.x <= 11.9.0, 11.8.x <= 11.8.4, 11.7.x <= 11.7.7, 10.11.x <= 10.11.22 fail to limit the amount of memory allocated when decoding uploaded image files which allows an authenticated user to cause excessive server memory consumption and potential denial of service via uploading a specially crafted image as a profile picture, channel file attachment, team icon, or custom brand image. CVE-2026-23137 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-09-14 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: of: unittest: Fix memory leak in unittest_data_add() In unittest_data_add(), if of_resolve_phandles() fails, the allocated unittest_data is not freed, leading to a memory leak. Fix this by using scope-based cleanup helper __free(kfree) for automatic resource cleanup. This ensures unittest_data is automatically freed when it goes out of scope in error paths. For the success path, use retain_and_null_ptr() to transfer ownership of the memory to the device tree and prevent double freeing.
CVE-2022-48650 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-09-14 4.7 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: scsi: qla2xxx: Fix memory leak in __qlt_24xx_handle_abts() Commit 8f394da36a36 ("scsi: qla2xxx: Drop TARGET_SCF_LOOKUP_LUN_FROM_TAG") made the __qlt_24xx_handle_abts() function return early if tcm_qla2xxx_find_cmd_by_tag() didn't find a command, but it missed to clean up the allocated memory for the management command.
CVE-2026-88932 1 Multer 1 Multer 2026-09-14 5.3 Medium
multer is a Node.js middleware for handling multipart/form-data uploads. In versions 2.2.0 through 2.3.0, when a request using disk storage is aborted mid-upload, file writes that complete after multer has already run its abort cleanup are not removed, so each aborted upload can leave an orphaned file on disk. A remote unauthenticated attacker can repeatedly start and abort uploads to accumulate orphaned files and exhaust disk space, causing a denial of service. The issue is fixed in multer 2.4.0, and users should upgrade to 2.4.0 or later.
CVE-2026-14298 1 Mattermost 2 Mattermost, Mattermost Server 2026-09-14 6.5 Medium
Mattermost versions 11.9.x <= 11.9.0, 11.8.x <= 11.8.4, 11.7.x <= 11.7.7, 10.11.x <= 10.11.22 fail to limit decompressed content size and enforce the configured maximum file size in the Boards archive import handler, which allows an authenticated user to cause memory exhaustion or unbounded disk consumption via a crafted .boardarchive file uploaded to the import endpoint.. CVE-2026-86452 2 Misp, Misp-project 2 Misp, Misp 2026-09-14 7.5 High
Affected versions of MISP permit unauthenticated or weakly constrained request paths to perform persistent work without adequate input bounds or rate limiting. The users/forgot password-reset endpoint accepted an attacker-controlled email value without first imposing a reasonable length bound or validating its format. That value was then used to create an audit log entry and queue a password-reset job, causing the supplied value to be persisted more than once per request. The commit explicitly states that an unbounded unauthenticated request field was stored twice per call with no throttle. The fix adds:  - a maximum email input length of 1024 bytes;  - email-format validation before persistent work;  - a per-source pre-authentication request budget;  - HTTP 429 responses when that budget is exceeded;  - a 15-minute cooldown for API-access request emails;  - POST-only handling and CSRF protection for the API-access request endpoint. The new flood filter is specifically intended to limit persistent storage costs from anonymous requests such as password resets, registrations, and failed REST authentication attempts. Version affected: ≤2.5.45
CVE-2026-82001 3 Adobe, Apple, Microsoft 7 Acrobat, Acrobat 2024, Acrobat Dc and 4 more 2026-09-13 5.5 Medium
Acrobat Reader is affected by an Uncontrolled Resource Consumption vulnerability that could lead to application denial-of-service. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability to exhaust system resources, resulting in an application denial-of-service condition. Exploitation of this issue requires user interaction in that a victim must open a malicious file.
CVE-2026-87776 1 Expressjs 1 Compression 2026-09-13 7.5 High
compression is a Node.js and Express compression middleware. In versions before 1.8.2, when a client aborts the connection while a compressed response is still being sent, the zlib stream created to compress that response is never destroyed, so each aborted compressed response leaks its native zlib memory. A remote unauthenticated attacker can repeatedly open requests and disconnect early, exhausting the available memory and crashing the server. All applications using compression are affected. The issue is fixed in compression 1.8.2, and users should upgrade to 1.8.2 or later.

CVE-2026-54874 1 Openssl 1 Openssl 2026-09-11 7.5 High
Issue summary: Receiving a DTLS record for a future epoch while a handshake is in progress causes OpenSSL to buffer far more memory than the record itself requires. Impact summary: A peer can use a small amount of network traffic to make an OpenSSL DTLS endpoint retain a disproportionately large amount of memory, which may lead to a Denial of Service. CWE: CWE-405: Asymmetric Resource Consumption (Amplification) Description: While a DTLS handshake is in progress, a peer may legitimately have already moved on to the next epoch (for example, having sent its ChangeCipherSpec and Finished messages) before the local endpoint has processed the same transition, typically because of reordering on the underlying UDP transport. OpenSSL buffers such early records so that they can be processed once the local endpoint catches up. Buffering a record currently retains the entire read buffer it arrived in, which is sized to hold the largest possible DTLS record (around 16 kilobytes), rather than just the bytes that make up the record itself. Up to 100 such records may be buffered per connection. As a result, a peer that sends a stream of small forged records claiming to belong to the next epoch can cause an OpenSSL DTLS endpoint to retain around 1.7 megabytes of memory, despite sending only a small fraction of that amount of data over the network. An attacker therefore gains a memory amplification factor of around 1200, and can multiply the effect across as many associations as it is able to open, making this a remote memory exhaustion Denial of Service risk for DTLS servers. Since the memory retained per connection remains bounded, and any limit an application already places on the number of concurrent associations also bounds the total exposure, this issue has been assessed as Low severity. FIPS impact: no No FIPS modules are affected by this issue as the affected code is outside the OpenSSL FIPS module boundary. OpenSSL 4.0, 3.6, 3.5, 3.4, 3.0, 1.1.1 and 1.0.2 are vulnerable to this issue. OpenSSL 4.0 users should upgrade to OpenSSL 4.0.2. OpenSSL 3.6 users should upgrade to OpenSSL 3.6.4. OpenSSL 3.5 users should upgrade to OpenSSL 3.5.8. OpenSSL 3.4 users should upgrade to OpenSSL 3.4.7. OpenSSL 3.0 users should upgrade to OpenSSL 3.0.22. Premium support customers only: OpenSSL 1.1.1 users should upgrade to OpenSSL 1.1.1zi OpenSSL 1.0.2 users should upgrade to OpenSSL 1.0.2zr This issue was reported on 18 May 2026 by Amazon Web Services. CVE-2026-68497 1 Fasterxml 1 Jackson-databind 2026-09-11 7.5 High
jackson-databind binds a JSON string to a javax.xml.datatype.Duration or javax.xml.datatype.XMLGregorianCalendar field by passing the raw string verbatim to DatatypeFactory.newDuration(value) or newXMLGregorianCalendar(value) in CoreXMLDeserializers.Std._deserialize. These deserializers are registered by default with no opt-in, so a plain ObjectMapper or JsonMapper with no polymorphic typing and no special configuration reaches this path. The XML Schema lexical grammar permits numeric components of arbitrary length, which the JDK materializes through the native BigInteger(String) and BigDecimal(String) constructors, both quadratic in digit count. Because the digits sit inside a JSON string token rather than a JSON number token, jackson-core's StreamReadConstraints.maxNumberLength guard never applies; jackson's own NumberDeserializers call validateIntegerLength or validateFPLength before parsing a stringified number, but the XML datatype deserializer omits that pre-check. An unauthenticated attacker can therefore submit a single request of a few megabytes, such as a Duration value consisting of the letter P followed by several million digits and the letter Y, and force tens of seconds to several minutes of single-threaded CPU work; a handful of concurrent requests can saturate a server's worker threads. This affects com.fasterxml.jackson.core:jackson-databind from 2.0.0 before 2.18.10, from 2.19.0 before 2.21.6, and from 2.22.0 before 2.22.2, and tools.jackson.core:jackson-databind from 3.0.0 before 3.1.6 and from 3.2.0 before 3.2.2. Users should upgrade to 2.18.10, 2.21.6, 2.22.2, 3.1.6, or 3.2.2.
