CVSS v3.1 |
| Axios is a promise based HTTP client for the browser and Node.js. From 1.0.0 to before 1.15.2, he Axios library is vulnerable to a Prototype Pollution "Gadget" attack that allows any Object.prototype pollution in the application's dependency tree to be escalated into surgical, invisible modification of all JSON API responses — including privilege escalation, balance manipulation, and authorization bypass. The default transformResponse function at lib/defaults/index.js:124 calls JSON.parse(data, this.parseReviver), where this is the merged config object. Because parseReviver is not present in Axios defaults, not validated by assertOptions, and not subject to any constraints, a polluted Object.prototype.parseReviver function is called for every key-value pair in every JSON response, allowing the attacker to selectively modify individual values while leaving the rest of the response intact. This vulnerability is fixed in 1.15.2. |
| A vulnerability was found in Samba where a delegated administrator with permission to create objects in Active Directory can write to all attributes of the newly created object, including security-sensitive attributes, even after the object's creation. This issue occurs because the administrator owns the object due to the lack of an Access Control List (ACL) at the time of creation and later being recognized as the 'creator owner.' The retained significant rights of the delegated administrator may not be well understood, potentially leading to unintended privilege escalation or security risks. |
| A flaw was found in the github.com/containers/image library. This flaw allows attackers to trigger unexpected authenticated registry accesses on behalf of a victim user, causing resource exhaustion, local path traversal, and other attacks. |
| A flaw was found in glib. Missing validation of offset and count parameters in the g_buffered_input_stream_peek() function can lead to an integer overflow during length calculation. When specially crafted values are provided, this overflow results in an incorrect size being passed to memcpy(), triggering a buffer overflow. This can cause application crashes, leading to a Denial of Service (DoS). |
| A vulnerability was found in Podman, Buildah, and CRI-O. A symlink traversal vulnerability in the containers/storage library can cause Podman, Buildah, and CRI-O to hang and result in a denial of service via OOM kill when running a malicious image using an automatically assigned user namespace (`--userns=auto` in Podman and Buildah). The containers/storage library will read /etc/passwd inside the container, but does not properly validate if that file is a symlink, which can be used to cause the library to read an arbitrary file on the host. |
| An API design flaw in WebKitGTK and WPE WebKit allows untrusted web content to unexpectedly perform IP connections, DNS lookups, and HTTP requests. Applications expect to use the
WebPage::send-request signal handler to approve or reject all network requests. However, certain types of HTTP requests bypass this signal handler. |
| A flaw was found in the Submariner project. Due to unnecessary role-based access control permissions, a privileged attacker can run a malicious container on a node that may allow them to steal service account tokens and further compromise other nodes and potentially the entire cluster. |
| A vulnerability was found in CRI-O, where it can be requested to take a checkpoint archive of a container and later be asked to restore it. When it does that restoration, it attempts to restore the mounts from the restore archive instead of the pod request. As a result, the validations run on the pod spec, verifying that the pod has access to the mounts it specifies are not applicable to a restored container. This flaw allows a malicious user to trick CRI-O into restoring a pod that doesn't have access to host mounts. The user needs access to the kubelet or cri-o socket to call the restore endpoint and trigger the restore. |
| A flaw was found in Red Hat Openshift AI Service. The TrustyAI component is granting all service accounts and users on a cluster permissions to get, list, watch any pod in any namespace on the cluster.
TrustyAI is creating a role `trustyai-service-operator-lmeval-user-role` and a CRB `trustyai-service-operator-default-lmeval-user-rolebinding` which is being applied to `system:authenticated` making it so that every single user or service account can get a list of pods running in any namespace on the cluster
Additionally users can access all `persistentvolumeclaims` and `lmevaljobs` |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
fscache: delete fscache_cookie_lru_timer when fscache exits to avoid UAF
The fscache_cookie_lru_timer is initialized when the fscache module
is inserted, but is not deleted when the fscache module is removed.
If timer_reduce() is called before removing the fscache module,
the fscache_cookie_lru_timer will be added to the timer list of
the current cpu. Afterwards, a use-after-free will be triggered
in the softIRQ after removing the fscache module, as follows:

Therefore delete fscache_cookie_lru_timer when removing the fscahe module. |
| A memory leak flaw was found in Golang in the RSA encrypting/decrypting code, which might lead to a resource exhaustion vulnerability using attacker-controlled inputs. The memory leak happens in github.com/golang-fips/openssl/openssl/rsa.go#L113. The objects leaked are pkey and ctx. That function uses named return parameters to free pkey and ctx if there is an error initializing the context or setting the different properties. All return statements related to error cases follow the "return nil, nil, fail(...)" pattern, meaning that pkey and ctx will be nil inside the deferred function that should free them. |
| Multiple buffer overflows in GraphicsMagick before 1.1.7 and ImageMagick 6.0.7 allow user-assisted attackers to cause a denial of service and possibly execute arbitrary code via (1) a DCM image that is not properly handled by the ReadDCMImage function in coders/dcm.c, or (2) a PALM image that is not properly handled by the ReadPALMImage function in coders/palm.c. |
| Apache Tomcat 6.0.0 through 6.0.15 processes parameters in the context of the wrong request when an exception occurs during parameter processing, which might allow remote attackers to obtain sensitive information, as demonstrated by disconnecting during this processing in order to trigger the exception. |
| The seqfile handling (ip6fl_get_n function in ip6_flowlabel.c) in Linux kernel 2.6 up to 2.6.18-stable allows local users to cause a denial of service (hang or oops) via unspecified manipulations that trigger an infinite loop while searching for flowlabels. |
| Unspecified vulnerability in the LDAP dissector in Wireshark (formerly Ethereal) 0.99.3 allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (crash) via a crafted LDAP packet. |
| epan/dissectors/packet-xot.c in the XOT dissector (dissect_xot_pdu) in Wireshark (formerly Ethereal) 0.9.8 through 0.99.3 allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (memory consumption and crash) via an encoded XOT packet that produces a zero length value when it is decoded. |
| Unspecified vulnerability in the WBXML dissector in Wireshark (formerly Ethereal) 0.10.11 through 0.99.3 allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (crash) via certain vectors that trigger a null dereference. |
| Unspecified vulnerability in the HTTP dissector in Wireshark (formerly Ethereal) 0.99.3 allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (crash) via unspecified vectors. |
| Integer underflow in the file_printf function in the "file" program before 4.20 allows user-assisted attackers to execute arbitrary code via a file that triggers a heap-based buffer overflow. |
| Adobe Flash Player 8.0.39.0 and earlier, and 9.x up to 9.0.115.0, allows remote attackers to bypass the allowScriptAccess parameter setting via a crafted SWF file with unspecified "Filter evasion" manipulations. |
