CVSS v3.1 |
| The Sleuth Kit through 4.15.0 contains a heap out-of-bounds read vulnerability in hfs_load_extended_attrs() in tsk/fs/hfs.c that reads the decmpfs header without checking attribute length. Attackers can supply a crafted HFS+ image with a com.apple.decmpfs attr_size of 1 to 15 to read past the allocation and crash analysis tools like istat or icat. |
| libosmocore through 1.14.1 contains an out-of-bounds read in iuup_rx_initialization() in src/gsm/iuup.c. This allows a remote attacker to obtain sensitive information. |
| libriscv is a RISC-V sandbox and emulator. Prior to 1.18, a crafted ELF binary can cause out-of-bounds reads in the host emulator. `Memory<W>::binary_loader` checks `PT_LOAD` program-header bounds, but `Memory<W>::serialize_execute_segment` trusts section-header `sh_offset` and `sh_size` when locating `.text` without verifying the file range against `m_binary.size()`; `Memory<W>::lookup()` has a similar section-table problem. Malformed `.text` or `.symtab` offsets can therefore bypass the program-header checks and point outside the binary buffer, crashing rvlinux. With suitable memory layout or integer overflow, out-of-buffer host heap memory may instead be mapped into the guest by `create_execute_segment()`, potentially exposing host memory. The reported reproducer demonstrates a host SIGSEGV, while memory disclosure through grooming is described as possible rather than demonstrated. This issue is fixed in version 1.18. |
| An out-of-bounds access issue was addressed with improved bounds checking. This issue is fixed in iOS 26.7 and iPadOS 26.7, iOS 27.2 and iPadOS 27.2, macOS Golden Gate 27.2, macOS Sequoia 15.8.2, macOS Tahoe 26.7.2, tvOS 27.2, visionOS 27.2. Processing a maliciously crafted media file may lead to unexpected app termination or corrupt process memory. |
| An out-of-bounds read was addressed with improved bounds checking. This issue is fixed in iOS 26.7.2 and iPadOS 26.7.2, iOS 27 and iPadOS 27, macOS Golden Gate 27, macOS Sequoia 15.8.2, macOS Tahoe 26.7.2, tvOS 27, visionOS 27, watchOS 27. Processing a maliciously crafted image may lead to unexpected app termination. |
| A flaw was found in gcc. An attacker could cause a Denial of Service (DoS) by passing a string that is not null-terminated to the std::from_chars() function in the libstdc++ library. This issue triggers an out-of-bounds read beyond the allocated buffer, potentially leading to invalid data parsing or an application crash. |
| unarr through 1.1.1 contains a heap-based out-of-bounds read in zip_parse_extra_fields() in zip/parse-zip.c due to an incorrect ZIP64 extra field length check. Attackers can supply a crafted ZIP archive with 0xFFFFFFFF sentinel values and a truncated ZIP64 record to read past the heap buffer and crash the process. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
scsi: libiscsi: Reject a negative task index from parse_pdu_itt
A transport that implements parse_pdu_itt hands libiscsi an index taken
from the PDU, and both lookups bound it from above only:
if (i >= session->cmds_max)
i and cmds_max are both int, so a negative index passes and
session->cmds[i] is read from before the array.
be2iscsi produces one. beiscsi_parse_pdu() assigns the raw tag,
*index = (int)itt;
and beiscsi_complete_pdu() forwards an unsolicited NOP-In from the
hardware async ring without replacing its ITT, so the value is the
target's. It also reports the session's own age rather than the one in
the tag, which leaves the age comparison in iscsi_verify_itt() with
nothing to reject.
Bound the index from below in both lookups. |
| The `/api/v1/admin` route group did not enforce the `public-only` restriction of personal access tokens. A public-only token with admin scope issued by a site administrator could therefore list private organizations and the email addresses of all users, create organizations, obtain runner registration tokens and create new site administrator accounts, the last of which persists after the token is revoked. Tokens of users who are not site administrators cannot reach these routes; public-only tokens are now rejected on the admin API. |
| A vulnerability was determined in Artifex MuPDF. The impacted element is the function fz_subset_cff_for_gids of the file subset-cff.c of the component CFF Index Handler. This manipulation causes out-of-bounds read. The attack can only be executed locally. The exploit has been publicly disclosed and may be utilized. The project was informed of the problem early through a bug report but has not responded yet. |
| A flaw was found in libsoup, where the soup_multipart_new_from_message() function is vulnerable to an out-of-bounds read. This flaw allows a malicious HTTP client to induce the libsoup server to read out of bounds. |
| A flaw was found in libsoup. The package is vulnerable to a heap buffer over-read when sniffing content via the skip_insight_whitespace() function. Libsoup clients may read one byte out-of-bounds in response to a crafted HTTP response by an HTTP server. |
| Out-of-bounds read in Windows GDI allows an unauthorized attacker to disclose information over a network. |
| Out-of-bounds read in Windows Win32 Kernel Subsystem allows an authorized attacker to disclose information locally. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
net/sched: cls_flower: validate mask pointer after nla_next()
fl_set_enc_opt() iterates the key's nested tunnel-option attributes
with nla_for_each_attr() while advancing a single mask pointer via
nla_next() at the bottom of each loop, so the mask cursor is driven
by the number of key attributes rather than by the mask's own
attributes. The nla_ok() added by commit c96adff956191 ("cls_flower:
call nla_ok() before nla_next()") only validates the mask pointer
that was just consumed; the pointer produced by nla_next() is used by
the next iteration (fl_set_geneve_opt() and siblings) without any
validation.
The mask's nested attributes are validated with NL_VALIDATE_LIBERAL,
which merely warns on trailing bytes that do not form a complete
attribute. A mask carrying one valid attribute plus 1-3 residue
bytes (or a non-aligned attribute length making msk_depth negative)
therefore reaches the next iteration with msk_depth != 0, so neither
the !msk_depth check in fl_set_enc_opt() nor the !depth check in the
per-type helpers fires. nla_type() then reads past the mask payload
and nla_parse_nested_deprecated() iterates with an nla_len taken
from those bytes, reading well beyond the mask attribute (KASAN:
slab-out-of-bounds read in __nla_validate_parse from fl_change()).
Validate the advanced mask pointer as well: when the mask is not
legitimately exhausted (msk_depth != 0) and the new pointer fails
nla_ok(), reject the filter with -EINVAL. An exactly exhausted mask
still skips the check, preserving exact-match behaviour for the
remaining key attributes. |
| A flaw was found in SSSD. A local attacker can exploit this vulnerability by sending a specially crafted request to the autofs responder UNIX socket. Due to improper buffer offset calculation during request parsing, the service performs an out-of-bounds memory read. This flaw can cause the autofs responder process to crash, resulting in a denial of service (DoS). |
| Libpff through 20260926 contains a heap out-of-bounds read vulnerability in libpff_table_read_values_array because a 7c column definition's values_array_size is not checked against remaining buffer bytes. Attackers can supply a crafted PST, OST or PAB file to make applications read adjacent heap memory into record entry values or crash. |
| libdwarf through 2.3.3 contains a heap out-of-bounds read vulnerability in dwarf_debug_addr_table() that omits the table starting offset when validating .debug_addr unit length. Attackers can supply a crafted object file with a non-zero offset table, causing dwarf_debug_addr_by_index() to read past the heap buffer, disclosing adjacent heap bytes or crashing consumers. |
| libfvde through 20260923 contains a heap out-of-bounds read vulnerability in libfvde_encrypted_metadata_read_type_0x0024() because xml_plist_data_size is not checked against the source metadata block. Attackers can supply a crafted FileVault 2 Core Storage volume that makes libfvde_volume_open() copy past the heap block buffer, crashing the application. |
| Go JOSE provides an implementation of the Javascript Object Signing and Encryption set of standards in Go, including support for JSON Web Encryption (JWE), JSON Web Signature (JWS), and JSON Web Token (JWT) standards. Prior to 4.1.5, decrypting untrusted JWE ciphertext with A128CBC-HS256, A192CBC-HS384, or A256CBC-HS512 can pass an empty ciphertext buffer to CBC-HMAC unpadding. Insufficient validation allows the empty buffer to be indexed, causing a panic and denial of service. Applications that decrypt attacker-controlled ciphertext with one of these content-encryption algorithms are affected. This issue is fixed in version 4.1.5. |
