CVSS v3.1 |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
bpf: backtrack_insn(): Handle ld_{abs,ind} subprog exit edge
Nicholas Carlini reported a bug in precision backtracking mechanism
for BPF_LD | BPF_{IND,ABS} instructions. These instructions are
modelled as two branches:
- fallthrough;
- implicit exit from current subprogram.
The implicit exit case was not handled by the backtrack_insn()
function. When backtracking such a path backtrack_insn() did not
call bt_subprog_enter(), which meant that backtracking continued
manipulating precision marks in a caller frame, while looking at
instructions in a callee frame.
This lead to segmentation faults during verification (see the
selftest), or unsound state pruning. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
btrfs: detach failed sprout device from transaction update list
When creating the first metadata chunk for a sprout filesystem,
create_chunk() adds the new device to the transaction dev_update_list
through device->post_commit_list.
If the subsequent system chunk creation fails, btrfs_init_new_device()
aborts the transaction and releases the device while post_commit_list is
still linked. This triggers a warning in btrfs_free_device() and leaves
the transaction list referencing freed memory.
Detach the device while holding chunk_mutex before releasing it. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
ASoC: amd: yc: fix memory leak in acp6x_pdm_dma_close()
acp6x_pdm_dma_close() does not free the runtime->private_data buffer
allocated in acp6x_pdm_dma_open(). Add the missing kfree. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
ipv6: mcast: use rcu_assign_pointer() for __rcu list updates
Several places in net/ipv6/mcast.c update RCU-protected lists
(np->ipv6_mc_list, idev->mc_list, idev->mc_tomb) using direct pointer
assignments instead of rcu_assign_pointer():
1. In __ipv6_dev_mc_dec(), unlinking a group from idev->mc_list did:
*map = ma->next;
without rcu_assign_pointer() while concurrent readers traverse
idev->mc_list locklessly under rcu_read_lock().
2. In ipv6_sock_mc_drop() and __ipv6_sock_mc_close(), unlinking a group
from np->ipv6_mc_list directly assigned *lnk = mc_lst->next and
np->ipv6_mc_list = mc_lst->next without rcu_assign_pointer(), racing
with lockless readers in inet6_mc_check().
3. In __ipv6_sock_mc_join(), mc_lst->next was initialized to
np->ipv6_mc_list via raw assignment before publishing mc_lst.
4. In mld_del_delrec() and __ipv6_dev_mc_inc(), __rcu source pointers
passed into rcu_assign_pointer() lacked explicit dereference helpers.
Fix these by consistently using rcu_assign_pointer() along with
mc_dereference() / sock_dereference(). |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
Bluetooth: L2CAP: fix chan mode for LE_CONN_REQ + EXT_FLOWCTL pchan
l2cap_new_connection() sets default value of channel mode to match the
parent channel. l2cap_le_connect_req() left this at the default, and
created L2CAP_MODE_EXT_FLOWCTL channels if listening pchan has that
mode. This causes FLAG_DEFER_SETUP channels to reply to
L2CAP_LE_CONN_REQ with L2CAP_ECRED_CONN_RSP, which is incorrect.
It can also result to stack OOB write (of l2cap_alloc_cid determined
values) in l2cap_ecred_rsp_defer(), as l2cap_le_connect_req() does not
limit maximum number of deferred channels or check for duplicate ident.
Fix by setting chan->mode correctly in l2cap_le_connect_req().
Also check channel mode in l2cap_ecred_rsp_defer(), and do WARN_ON_ONCE
instead of OOB write to make it less brittle. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
netfilter: nf_nat_sip: rewind offset when NAT shrinks the packet
sashiko says:
If map_addr() changes the packet length, such as when the public NAT IP
string is shorter or longer than the internal IP, coff will still point to
the offset relative to the pre-mangled packet.
If the packet shrinks, coff could overshoot the correct position,
potentially causing the next ct_sip_parse_header_uri() call to silently
skip bytes and miss subsequent Contact headers. Could this lead to a
failure to NAT those subsequent headers and leak internal network details? |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
ext4: fix transaction overflow during writeback
Commit 95ad8ee45cdb ("ext4: correct the reserved credits for extent
conversion") was correct to note that we need to reserve enough credits
for all extents possibly underlying a large folio. However it was too
eager to reduce the number of reserved credits. Extent conversion may
not only need to touch several leaf extent blocks, it may also need to
split extents - for example a single large unwritten extent may need to
be split into many small written ones in case of sparse folio dirtying.
This can thus result not only in extent leaf modifications but also in a
need to allocate new extent tree nodes. As a result the reserved
transaction credits were not sufficient in some corner cases. Use
ext4_meta_trans_blocks() for correct upper bound credit estimate. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
wifi: iwlwifi: mei: pass correct argument to function
The first argument to iwl_mei_write_cyclic_buf() should be the cldev
but the q_head pointer is passed instead. Fix it. |
| A weakness has been identified in mathurvishal CloudClassroom-PHP-Project up to 5dadec098bfbbf3300d60c3494db3fb95b66e7be. The impacted element is an unknown function of the file loginlinkfaculty.php of the component Faculty Authentication. Executing a manipulation of the argument fid/pass can lead to sql injection. It is possible to launch the attack remotely. The exploit has been made available to the public and could be used for attacks. This product takes the approach of rolling releases to provide continious delivery. Therefore, version details for affected and updated releases are not available. The vendor was contacted early about this disclosure but did not respond in any way. |
| Bludit CMS through 3.22.0 contains a missing authorization vulnerability that allows authenticated users holding the Author or Editor role to read the full content of private drafts and scheduled posts belonging to any other user, including administrators, by exploiting the content-get-list AJAX endpoint in bl-kernel/ajax/content-get-list.php. Attackers can send an authenticated GET request to the admin AJAX endpoint with the draft parameter set to true, triggering getList() without ownership constraints and returning serialized page objects site-wide, exposing pre-publication material and sensitive notes stored in administrator-owned drafts. |
| Zammad is a web based open source helpdesk/customer support system. Prior to 7.0.2, when multiple KB categories have different editor roles assigned, a user with knowledge_base.editor in one category can see answer titles and updated_at timestamps from categories they do not have editor access to , via the global quick search. Category names are not leaked, and opening the answer returns "Page not found," but the title alone may disclose sensitive information. This vulnerability is fixed in 7.0.2. |
| NVIDIA NeMo Speech for all platforms contains a vulnerability in the speech data explorer component, where malicious data created by an attacker could cause remote code execution. A successful exploit of this vulnerability might lead to code execution, escalation of privileges, information disclosure, and data tampering. |
| NVIDIA NeMo Speech for all platforms contains a vulnerability where malicious input created by an attacker could cause a code injection. A successful exploit of this vulnerability might lead to code execution, information disclosure, and data tampering. |
| radare2 is a UNIX-like reverse engineering framework and command-line toolset. Prior to 6.2.0, radare2's CPython bytecode .pyc marshal parser was vulnerable because the CPython marshal readers accepted a 32-bit string length without rejecting values that overflow the size-plus-one allocation. The vulnerability is triggered by opening or inspecting a crafted .pyc file through r2 or rabin2. A length of 0xffffffff wrapped the allocation to zero before the common byte reader wrote attacker-controlled data and fill bytes beyond the heap allocation. This can cause heap memory corruption and denial of service; arbitrary code execution is possible but has not been demonstrated. This issue is fixed in version 6.2.0. |
| radare2 is a UNIX-like reverse engineering framework and command-line toolset. Prior to 6.2.0, radare2's ELF PN_XNUM handling was vulnerable because the ELF parser allocated the program-header array using the resolved PN_XNUM count but several consumers still iterated with the original e_phnum value of 65535. The vulnerability is triggered by processing a crafted ELF file with e_phnum = 0xffff and a much smaller resolved count in shdr[0].sh_info. Consumers iterated beyond the allocated program-header array. This can cause a heap out-of-bounds read and process termination, resulting in denial of service; memory disclosure and code execution have not been demonstrated. This issue is fixed in version 6.2.0. |
| A vulnerability in an API of Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE) could allow an unauthenticated, remote attacker to bypass authentication.
This vulnerability is due to insufficient authentication control on an API endpoint. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability by sending a crafted request to an affected API endpoint. A successful exploit could allow the attacker to gain unauthorized access to the affected device by bypassing the web-based management interface. |
| The @payloadcms/storage-vercel-blob storage adapter for Payload contains an improper access control vulnerability that allows authenticated users to bypass collection-level permissions by accessing the client-upload route directly. Attackers can upload files through the client-upload endpoint without possessing the required collection access permissions, circumventing the intended access control enforcement. |
| radare2 is a UNIX-like reverse engineering framework and command-line toolset. Prior to 6.2.0, radare2's Apple Preferred Executable Format loader was vulnerable because the PEF loader accepted relocSecCount values that were not bounded by the number of sections or complete relocation records in the input. The vulnerability is triggered by normal binary-format auto-detection of a small crafted Apple PEF file. The loader could perform up to 268,435,456 relocation-section iterations and repeated buffer operations after record offsets passed the end of the file. This can cause denial of service through excessive CPU consumption and prolonged processing. This issue is fixed in version 6.2.0. |
| radare2 is a UNIX-like reverse engineering framework and command-line toolset. Prior to 6.2.0, radare2's Mach-O Swift field-metadata parser was vulnerable because a relative Swift field pointer could be lower than the field-metadata section base, making subtraction produce a negative logical index. The vulnerability is triggered by parsing Swift type and class metadata from a crafted Mach-O file. The derived index was used to read four bytes immediately before the allocated field-metadata buffer. This can cause incorrect metadata processing or process termination; no attacker-observable memory disclosure has been demonstrated. This issue is fixed in version 6.2.0. |
| Zammad is a web based open source helpdesk/customer support system. Prior to 7.0.2, a customer who can view a ticket cannot see internal ticket articles through the article listing API. However, the same customer can directly request an attachment belonging to an internal article via the attachment download endpoint, bypassing article-level authorization. This results in an inconsistency: The article listing hides internal articles from customers. The attachment download only checks the parent ticket, not the article, so the same customer can download the attachment directly. This issue is fixed in version 7.0.2. |
