CVSS v3.1 |
| A use-after-free vulnerability has been identified in the GNU GRUB (Grand Unified Bootloader). The flaw occurs because the file-closing process incorrectly retains a memory pointer, leaving an invalid reference to a file system structure. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability to cause grub to crash, leading to a Denial of Service. Possible data integrity or confidentiality compromise is not discarded. |
| A vulnerability has been identified in the GRUB2 bootloader's network module that poses an immediate Denial of Service (DoS) risk. This flaw is a Use-after-Free issue, caused because the net_set_vlan command is not properly unregistered when the network module is unloaded from memory. An attacker who can execute this command can force the system to access memory locations that are no longer valid. Successful exploitation leads directly to system instability, which can result in a complete crash and halt system availability |
| Content Egg plugin for WordPress before 12.1.0 contains a broken access control vulnerability that allows unauthenticated attackers to retrieve Content Egg product data from unpublished posts by calling the REST route POST /wp-json/content-egg/v1/render-blocks, whose permission_check() improperly returns true when no X-WP-Nonce header is supplied. Attackers can supply the post_id and module id of a draft, pending, scheduled, or private post to handle_render(), which lacks a publish-status check, to disclose product titles, destination and affiliate URLs, merchant or domain information, and descriptions. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
tcp: Fix potential UAF in reqsk_timer_handler().
When TCP socket migration fails at inet_ehash_insert() in
reqsk_timer_handler(), we jump to the no_ownership: label
and free the new reqsk immediately with __reqsk_free().
Thus, we must stop the new reqsk's timer before jumping to the
label, but the timer might be missed since the cited commit,
resulting in UAF.
As we are in the original reqsk's timer context, we can safely
call timer_delete_sync() for the new reqsk.
Let's pass false to __inet_csk_reqsk_queue_drop() to stop
the new reqsk's timer. |

| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
io_uring/cancel: rearm local work wake up before sleep
io_uring_try_cancel_requests() sets ->cq_wait_nr to 1 so that the next
io_req_local_work_add() wakes the cancelling task. The add that takes the
count to zero is the only one that wakes, later ones see a count <= 0 and
return. io_uring_cancel_generic() however only becomes
TASK_INTERRUPTIBLE much later, so the one wake up can be spent on a
running task. That is fine as long as the entry of that add is still
queued, as the io_local_work_pending() check then skips the sleep. It is
not if the add was delayed after queueing its entry:
CPU0 (submitter in exec or exit) CPU1 (io_req_local_work_add)
mpscq_push(req A)
io_uring_try_cancel_requests()
io_run_local_work() // runs req A
io_uring_try_cancel_requests()
atomic_set(&ctx->cq_wait_nr, 1)
atomic_read(&ctx->cq_wait_nr) == 1
count taken, wake_up_state()
// task is running, no-op
prepare_to_wait(TASK_INTERRUPTIBLE)
io_local_work_pending() == false
schedule()
mpscq_push(req B)
cq_wait_nr <= 0, return
Only the sleeping task can run req B, so it is stuck in execve() until a
signal happens to wake it. An exiting task doesn't even get that.
Arm the count again once the task state is set and before the work list
is checked, for the rings whose local work this task is the one to run. |
| Meelo through 3.13.1 contains a missing authorization vulnerability that allows authenticated non-admin users to modify shared catalog data because RolesGuard does not require Admin on song, track and video write routes. Attackers can send PUT requests to /songs/:idOrSlug, /tracks/:idOrSlug or /videos/:idOrSlug, or POST to /songs/:idOrSlug/merge, to alter genres, reassign tracks and merge songs. |
| Vulnerability in the Oracle Purchasing product of Oracle E-Business Suite (component: PO View Document). Supported versions that are affected are 12.2.3-12.2.15. Easily exploitable vulnerability allows low privileged attacker with network access via HTTP to compromise Oracle Purchasing. Successful attacks of this vulnerability can result in unauthorized access to critical data or complete access to all Oracle Purchasing accessible data. CVSS 3.1 Base Score 6.5 (Confidentiality impacts). CVSS Vector: (CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:N/A:N). |

| A use-after-free vulnerability was found in libxslt while parsing xsl nodes that may lead to the dereference of expired pointers and application crash. |
| A flaw was found in Ansible. The ansible-core `user` module can allow an unprivileged user to silently create or replace the contents of any file on any system path and take ownership of it when a privileged user executes the `user` module against the unprivileged user's home directory. If the unprivileged user has traversal permissions on the directory containing the exploited target file, they retain full control over the contents of the file as its owner. |
