CVSS v3.1 |
| In the interchange/interchange project, a critical remote code execution (RCE) vulnerability was found in the
“quick question” admin feature. In default installations arbitrary Perl
code can be injected and executed server-side by unauthenticated users.
The Perl code normally runs within a Safe container which limits the
scope of what it can do, unless the non-default AllowGlobal directive is
configured for the catalog being accessed.CTOR] |
| XWiki Rendering is a generic rendering system that converts textual input in a given syntax (wiki syntax, HTML, etc) into another syntax (XHTML, etc). Prior to versions 14.10.2 and 15.0 RC1, any user who can edit their own user profile or any other document can execute arbitrary script macros including Groovy and Python macros that allow remote code execution including unrestricted read and write access to all wiki contents. The reason is that rendering output is included as content of HTML macros without further escaping and it is thus possible to close the HTML macro and inject script macros that are executed with programming rights. This has been patched in XWiki 14.10.2 and 15.0 RC1 by making sure that rendering output cannot close the surrounding HTML macro. A possible workaround is available. It is, in principle, possible to add escaping to all places where rendering output is used in wiki documents, but at the moment there is no list of them. |
| A flaw was found in the multicluster-observability-addon. A remote attacker can access a debug endpoint without authentication, due to a misconfiguration in the underlying addon-framework library. This allows for the disclosure of sensitive operational information, such as goroutine, heap, and command-line details, after completing a basic encrypted connection. This vulnerability does not enable direct remote code execution. |
| n8n versions before 1.123.73, 2.35.4, and 2.36.2 contain an expression sandbox escape in the $fromAI handler. $fromAI resolved a caller-supplied placeholder name without requiring it to be an own property and admitted reserved keys; against a primitive input value it returned a live host-prototype reference. An attacker with workflow-build privilege can walk the prototype chain to the Function constructor and compile/execute arbitrary code in the main n8n process, leading to remote code execution. |
| MISP contains a vulnerability in its background job dispatch mechanism that allows remote code execution as the web user. Background job arguments are passed directly as the argv of the CakePHP console process. CakePHP's ShellDispatcher::_parsePaths() scans the entire argv for path switches (-app, --app, -working, --working, -root, --root, -webroot, --webroot) and uses the following element as the application root. The events/contact endpoint passes user-controlled fields (message and person) into job arguments without validation. An attacker who can submit the contact form can set the person field to a reserved switch (e.g., -app) and the message field to a phar:// URI pointing to a malicious archive. The CakePHP bootstrap then includes Config/core.php from within that archive, executing attacker-controlled PHP code with the privileges of the web user. The vulnerability requires the ability to submit the events/contact form (or any other endpoint that forwards user input into background job arguments). No special timing or race condition is required; the attack is deterministic once the crafted parameters are accepted. The impact is full remote code execution in the context of the MISP web server process, allowing data exfiltration, persistence, and lateral movement within the host. |
| ClipBucket v5 before 5.5.3-#182 contains a file upload vulnerability that allows authenticated users to achieve remote code execution by uploading a PHP file with valid image magic bytes through the photo upload endpoint. The FileUpload::manageFile() function in fileupload.class.php fails to update the file extension after MIME validation, allowing an attacker-controlled .php extension to persist on disk and execute as PHP via PHP-FPM when the uploaded file is retrieved. |
| SolarWinds Access Rights Manager was reported to be affected by an unauthenticated remote code execution vulnerability. The issue stems from a hardcoded static key. |
| ArcadeDB (Maven artifact com.arcadedb:arcadedb-engine) through 26.8.1 contains an incomplete deny-list in the polyglot script sandbox: com.arcadedb.query.polyglot.HostClassLookupFilter.DENIED lists java.util.ResourceBundle as a bare class name, which is matched by exact equality and therefore does not cover its subclasses, while ScriptTriggerExecutor.ALLOWED_PACKAGES permits java.util.*. A user with the UPDATE_SCHEMA privilege (sufficient to create or alter a JavaScript trigger; no server-admin rights required) can reference java.util.PropertyResourceBundle or java.util.ListResourceBundle and invoke the inherited static ResourceBundle.getBundle(String) to read .properties resources from the application classpath, which the sandbox (IOAccess.NONE, with java.io.**, java.nio.** and java.net.** denied) is intended to make unreachable. This can disclose packaged application configuration such as database credentials and API keys; the advisory states the issue does not provide arbitrary host filesystem read or remote code execution. Fixed in 26.9.1. |
| In DecodeFilmGrainParams of film_grain_dec.cc, there is a possible out-of-bounds write due to a missing bounds check. This could lead to remote code execution with no additional execution privileges needed. User interaction is not needed for exploitation. |
| In affected versions of Octopus Server, a user with permission to modify non built-in external feeds could exploit a path traversal flaw to overwrite arbitrary files on the server, which in some configurations could lead to remote code execution. |
| The WP Import Export Lite WordPress plugin before 3.9.34 does not validate a user-supplied output path when writing export files, allowing users granted its export permission to write files with arbitrary names to arbitrary locations on the server, leading to remote code execution. |
| The AF Companion WordPress plugin before 2.2.0 does not validate the type of files uploaded through one of its import features, allowing users with a low-privileged store-management role to upload arbitrary files, including PHP ones, leading to Remote Code Execution. |
| Jenkins Robot Framework Plugin 6.2.2 and earlier does not check that the archive directory configured for Robot Framework report files is contained within the build directory on the Jenkins controller, allowing attackers with Item/Configure permission to create or replace arbitrary files on the Jenkins controller file system with attacker-specified content, which can lead to remote code execution. |
| HP has identified and remediated multiple externally reported vulnerabilities within HPLIP. The findings affect several software components that could potentially enable remote code execution, privilege escalation, denial of service, information disclosure, or unauthorized file modification under certain conditions. |
| ScadaLTS 2.8.1-release-candidate build 0 is affected by an Authenticated Remote Code Execution via Scripting Sandbox Bypass
The DWR "DataSourceEditDwr" class exposes the "validateScript" method that compiles and executes attacker-supplied JavaScript via the Rhino scripting engine. There are no authorization checks on this method and so it is possible for an attacker with access to a low privilege user to abuse this flaw by leveraging the DWR routing bypass. |
| LMDeploy is a toolkit for compressing, deploying, and serving large language models. Starting in version 0.9.1 and prior to version 0.10.2, the LMdeploy implements an rpc server (AsyncRPCServer in zmq_rpc.py) for supporting the RPC communications. In its core functionality call_and_response(), I found it will directly use the pickles.loads() to deserialize the received messages without any sanitization, hence resulting in a remote code execution vulnerability by this RPC server. Version 0.10.2 contains a patch. |
| The Multi Uploader for Gravity Forms plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Arbitrary File Upload in all versions up to, and including, 1.1.9 via the move_file function. This is due to insufficient file type validation during chunked upload handling. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to upload arbitrary files on the affected site's server which may make remote code execution possible. |
| vm2 3.11.6 is vulnerable to a sandbox escape leading to remote code execution in the host Node.js process. The fix for GHSA-m283-3h24-438v is incomplete: the bridge gate at lib/bridge.js:1624 identity-checks only the direct call target when deciding whether to rebuild/sanitise a rejected host Promise value. Registering the rejection handler through Function.prototype.call or .apply indirection (e.g., p.then.call(p, undefined, cb)) makes the intercepted target host Function.prototype.call, so the sanitiser never runs and the raw host error reaches sandbox code with its own properties intact. If an embedder exposes a host-realm Promise to the sandbox (an async host function bridged via the sandbox option, or a NodeVM external module's async method) and that Promise rejects with an Error carrying a non-primitive own property referencing a host object (for example err.detail = process), untrusted code in the sandbox obtains a fully functional proxy to that host object and can execute arbitrary commands with the privileges of the host process (e.g., e.detail.mainModule.require('child_process').execSync(...)). The direct p.then(undefined, cb), bind, and Reflect.apply forms are correctly sanitised. Fixed in vm2 3.11.7. |
| vm2 before 3.11.7 contains a remote code execution vulnerability when require.external is enabled without an explicit require.root that excludes node_modules. Sandboxed code can require vm2's own package, instantiate an unrestricted NodeVM instance, and execute arbitrary host OS commands via child_process. |
| vm2 before 3.11.8 contains an incomplete fix for Error.cause sanitization that allows sandbox escape when revisited host-wrapped AggregateError objects are caught within a single exception handler traversal. Attackers can exploit cycle detection bypass in handleException to access unsanitized host proxies embedded in the errors array, enabling full remote code execution and process information disclosure from the sandbox. |
